There are some legitimate issues people may have with ODST (like a lack of MM for Firefight), but personally, I don't mind it. Playing with friends is what it's about, to me.

As for the price, I personally play this game way more than other full titles I got, and feel like I've got my money's worth.

I love this game. Its ambiance, gameplay, story... I even prefer playing as an ODST rather than a Spartan, in many ways.

this game is definetly fun but its missing one key topic.... Elites, I mean you see dead Elites that fought Brutes but I mean I would like to see some "Non-zombie" elites actually fighting... who cares if they want to kill you thats the fun of it right?

Playing as a ODST makes the game more realistic and harder

Eh, it wasn't very interesting to me. It was a fun rental but I never would have bought it

That's not a legitimate issue, especially when you know why it didn't exist in the first place.

I'm sure i must have a diffrent copy of Halo 3 ODST because 99.99% of the posts here are about An extremely crappy game so i have heard. Sure ODST isn't perfection but what is, Bungie mae this game in just over a year ( Every halo game so far has taken 3 Years or more ). It has it's fair share of problems but what game doesent ? Yes it takes time for notifications ( Messages, Online Friends ETC ETC ) To appear but it can't be helped.

Within a year bungie went from around 300 pencils and 500 sheets of paper to what we Know as Halo 3 ODST, They made a whole backstory to halo 2, Added new characters, Personalitys,Weapons and even tweaked the graphics. I've seen many post's about Firefight Getting boring, But the game was originally an expansion and isn't as big as other games. If they spent the same time On ODST that they did Halo 3 i bet half of you wouldn't complain about firefight. Other posts i have seen involve Dare's looks, What you also have to realise is that if Bungie added a "SUPAR HAWT CHICK" In their it wouldn't seem right. What many of you also seem to forget is the fact they are giving us ODST owners access to the Reach BETA And it can only be downloaded through ODST.

Sure the game is short but if you fully explore and do everything their is to do it lasts longer, If it came as DLC you wouldn't complain about its length would you ? Many people are also claiming it Was Overpriced But think of it like this, Image the price of the ODST campaign if it was DLC... lets say around $30, Then the price of firefight and all the maps of firefight and Finally All of the halo 3 maps ( Yes i realise many of you already have them but some didn't at the time ). All in all there is alot of explanations to all you're problems.

So ill make you guys a deal, If you make a game That is BETTER and SUPERIOR to ODST within the same time Bungie did it I will give you every bit of cash i have and ever will get. I will even make sure you get a lifetime supply of cookie's, All im saying is Stop bashing ODST and bungie when the facts are you cannot do a better job.

The true fans of halo are now shown, Only the people that Like ODST and can Accept the changes and problems can even remotely be True Halo fans. Afterall Most of you have something to complain about right ?

Welcome to the Real world kid's Things are not all Sunshine, Rainbows and Perfection.

Nothings Wrong with it, I love it! But if the firefight had a matchmaking that'd be nice. But I love the game and accept the changes. Only issue is NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY ANYMORE. Why I mean now it's just the Vidmaster achievements and I just want to play Firefight but anyway I love it.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

The truth the absolute truth isn't price (even though I think it's overpriced0 it's the lack of MM in firefight or campaign.

No matter how Halo started it's become an online game. That's what it's know for now and when ODST didn't have MM in firefight or campaign a lot of fans were disappointed and uninterested in the game. So no one really wanted to play the short campaign for anything more than achievements.Same for firefight.

BTW what a bunch of BS right there.

I love the whole "make a better game" line.it's not my job to make the game it's Bungie's.If it's not as good as the products they have made before I'm not going to be a nice little fanboy and praise Bungie no matter what. That's what these forums are for to voice your OPINIONS ON THE GOOD AND BAD PARTS OF A GAME NOT BLINDLY PRAISE IT.

You're probably more of a fan when you actually point out what is wrong with a game or company.

I don't see what's wrong with ODST, i find it quite challenging.

Probably because how short the campaign was. To be honest when I saw the first trailer, I thought they were going to incorporate the Superintendant as part of the storyline not as a backstory achievement you needed to watch through 30 different locations nor helping an Engineer with supposive Superintendant's brain in there.

I'm not sure if it is just me but when you see the first ODST trailer I was pretty convinced you had to do some sort of mission involving literal interactions throughout the game with the Superintendant, not being a gumshoe as Joseph Staten had so nicely put it and scouting for your party of 5 for the better for of the five hour gameplay.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I really liked ODST, and if you take time to enjoy the game rather than just trying to finish it, you'll find it isnt incredibly short.

MM would ruin firefight, plus they can't do it now so i dont see why everyone is complaining. There is no point in complaining about something that can't be changed.
I would much rather play firefight with a couple of friends than a few randoms.

I've definitely got my moneys worth out of it, and i have played it more than a lot of other games i have bought.

Its an expansion, and a good one at that.

Oh definitely. I agreee with you 100%. I know i have called it a full game before. I think it mostly comes down to opinion, and when it gets down to that, everyone is right in their own mind, so really, no one is truly correct.

Buck should not be allowed on a warthog turret.

Not all rainbows!! Oh No's!!!! no really. The only thing I rather dislike about ODST, are the inclusion of the bugs in firefight. Not really a hate, but just an opinion. It's a fantastic game, with great music, fantastic gameplay, great weapons. *although the silenced SMG could be a little more powerful* Love the game, nothing is "wrong" with it.

I bought AC04 for $80AU, that was single player through and through and i can now finish it under 3 hours (in terms of playtime). No one ever complained, and it has become the cult classic for all AC fans around the world. I downloaded the soundtrack, i have wallpapers, and i still remember the funny little line "Radio failure!".....which was sent over the radio....

I bought ODST for $70AU, got 3 play throughs out of it, with firefight, i felt it had an awesome story, could complete it in under 5 hours if i wanted to. Had theatre, great design, better visuals than Halo 3, a sneaky feel which is unique in Halo. The soundtrack was insanely good (downloaded). And then there is the nice firefight option which is great because not enough games these days have a co op option.

I bought a game with less for more and a game with more for less. The only difference is the console. AC04 was for PS2. So what i don't get is, why is it that people slam a game for being campaign based these days? What happened to the love for the campaign games?

Its so sad to see that a game is rated by its multiplayer or length, without even a mention to the story telling or design. Its seems that if a game doesn't have a multiplayer option and is less than 10 hours long, it isn't worth it, no matter how good the quality of the game.

Why are we here?

ODST is a great game, it can relate to more commom soldiers such as fall damage and stamina instead of shields (I'm not saying I hate shields, thier awsome.). Makes it kind of more realistic.

It's not a matter of the campaign being short is a matter of it not having a story. The game was 90% you fighting the enemies because they are the enemies in different locations as you ran around looking for your buds. An actual story wasnt even presented until the end of the game.

Bungie should have just cut the campaign and turned the Firefight into a complete experience. HUGE stages where you have objectives have the ability to play with more players that work in fire teams, some defend something while others attack, each stage sort of "replying" important battles that happened during this war.

How Firefight was presented in the game was extremely incomplete and it was really an almost bare bones survival mode.
