The official forum of the 7th Column and our Community. Go here to talk about community stuff, Bungie.net and world domination.

Does it seem like the Septagon has loosened up it's spectrum of topics lately? I remember, maybe about 6 months ago, not much was allowed that deviated from web site help, comments, or suggestions.

Community issues are now somewhat common in the Septagon. (For instance a topic discussing "Louis Wu" was allowed.) Have the mods taken a less focused view of the Septagon or is it my imagination?

But we already know that Bungie.net is a dynamic beast that will never stand still. At least not until they try to re-index the forums when they integrate the search function :)

I think they are allowing most of it because the majority of the people in the Septagon are good, mature people. I love the Septagon.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Different people will intrerpret the description in different ways. However, i do believe that nullifix has a point. Still perhaps a moderator could enlighten us.

Louis Wu and halo.bungie.org is part of the bungie community. Same with subnova and battle ground halo(even though gamespy owns that site) They are our offsite members and suport the bungie community just like everyone here.

Right! It is community and so it fits the description for the Septagon. It just seems to me that not that long ago these discussions wouldn't have been tolerated. (Maybe it started to "soften up" when Recon got his mod powers.)

But if you took a limited view of community it could be restricted to Bungie.net community only.

I also wonder if the forums should change so that the Septagon includes general Bungie discussion instead of in the Old Skool games forum. Changing that just feels right to me because then the games would be completly separated from the misc. stuff. But then we would get more spam in here and who wants that?!

I don't ever think any community topics were ever locked at any point in time. The Septagon has always been a place for the community of Bungie and this website.
