I search tirelessly for the secrets of the one known as the webmaster and for ling-ling's head.

Whenever i spawn in any map in Halo Custom Edition my movement automatically starts goin backwards and I haven;t even pressed the S key to go backwards. I tried to fix it by rebooting my computer but that does not seem to help but in the regular edtion of halo Pc i have no trouble with that whatsoever. I am really annoyed by this and makes custom edition hard to play
help would be really appreciated.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Not sure. Might try re-downloading Halo CE, the copy you have could be corrupt.

Something smells fishy...

I'd first uninstall (delete user data). Then re-download and reinstall. It could even be like a corrupt map file. But I don't really know either....strange.

Try this. If it's still not working, we can check other stuff.

Before I do that, could it be conflicting with other software I have? because it was working fine over the past two weeks but then I played another game on my Vista 64 bit computer while the game was only meant for a 32 bit XP system, then I went to go play custom edition and it started doing that weird thing? DO u think that the other game I played might be conflicting with it?

So weird. You don't happen to have a game controller connected, do you? That's probably not it, but worth checking out. Try going into the control settings and unbind the movement keys, by clicking each one and hitting backspace to clear it. Do you still move randomly in game after that?

Well it turns out my Microsoft Sidewinder 2 Joystick just so happened to be tilted and was afffecting the gameplay. The reversing has finally stopped. Well Thank you sooo much for your help n357 I would have never considered the game controller. But i kinda feel stupid now but regardless thank you so much
