Reviews are based on personal preference just because you don't think the same as the reviewers doesn't mean their biased. If you disagree with reviewers then you should be the one to know the difference.

And you weren't forced to buy the mythic disc. It came with the package, if left out it wouldn't have been cheaper. It's like saying I wanted Halo 3 but I was forced to buy the forge and theater features.

Lastly, the publishers have final say on the price, and their the ones who make the greatest profit. Which brings me to my last point, the Mythic disc was added because of the $60 price. Instead of fleshing out campaign, the gave you the entire Halo 3 multiplayer.

1. Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed your purchase.

2. True, although the reviews were blown way out of proportion, and quite misleading, and the developer that created the game claimed it was a full game, no one was forced to purchase it. Although we had no control over being forced to purchase the Mythic disc.

3. That's not to say Bungie can't have some control over it, they make the game, and could have made a contract about the price before creating the game, if Microsoft really screwed them over as much as they claim, they could have fleshed out the campaign a bit more to make it worth the $60.

2. I won't argue on the review part, because that is based on opinion anyways. But in the end it was as full of a game as Mirror's Edge, Bioshock, Fable 2, and such. Not as much content as Halo 3, but enough to make it a full game.
3. They did as much as they could with the time they had.

ODST has just as many features as many other $60 games. I still can't believe people are still arguing this. Not that you are. Just saying.

Mutliplayer wasn't a completely different came Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3 yeah nothing similar between the two.

I understand why you would be frustrated but you knew going into the purchase what it entailed. If you didn't want to purchase matchmaking again you should have not got it right away. Seen if you could buy only the campaign on Ebay or from a gamestop later.

My personal purchase is irrelevant to the claim that ODST was a rip off. I had no knowledge of Ebay until I researched it and should have never had to use it, it's a shame that I had to resort to that. No one expected the price to drop so rapidly, and Gamestop still doesn't sell just the ODST disc, you still have to get the Mythic disc with it.

My word, your personal purchase is the exact point to ODST being a rip off seeing as how something being a rip off is a relative term and is different for each person. Just because you think it was a rip off doesn't make it fact.
Sorry you didn't know about ebay but an uniformed consumer is likely to be played in multiple ways.
And why is it a shame you had to use Ebay. Millions of people do and that's where I get most my games, how is that a shame you can get most games cheaper their anyways.

Ebay is unpredictable, how do you know if you're going to get ripped off? They mgith not pay you, or they might not ship you the item you purchased, also, the disc you recieve may be scratched up..etc.

And they have methods to report people who lie about their items/ don't ship items, and your supposed to wait for payment until shipment.

I take anything I consider a rip off seriously, I don't "have it out" for Bungie, I'm just discussing it.

What would sending them a letter do?

gosh dude its $60 thats like nothing. if thats really that important get a job, but quit complaining about this, your a disgrace to this forum. I'm sick of kids like you.

No one should ever be afraid of looking stupid, so long as they are making a rational effort to expand their understanding.

Gasoline cost $0.27 in 1950.

Adjusting for inflation, that is $2.40 in todays dollars.

Now consider the increase in taxes on fuel since then. I would say we are paying LESS for fuel today than we were in 1950. You should consider these simple economic concepts before telling someone else they "need some serious education".

I have a job, and I bet I'm older than you. It's wouldn't matter if it was $1, or $1,000, a rip off should always be taken seriously. Scum like you are the reason our economy is so screwed, go check out gas prices sometime. Oh, and this is an ODST forum, you're honestly going to tell me not to discuss ODST here? You need some serious education.

ok how the hell is the economy my fault? and i see and pay for the price of gas every time i fill up my tank(if i even get that much). No, im telling you not to complain about it or insult the other people who are sick of you whining about the -blam!- price. you bought it so deal with it. No one forced you to buy the -blam!- game live so with your mistake. And i do have a serious education.

Oh and by the way quit flaming.

These discussions are coming off as thinly vielded attacks at Bungie over a percieved injustice against your person and are working against you to make you sound rather juvenile rather than "serious."

If you feel you have been wronged then the serious thing to do is accept that you have been wronged, that you probably won't get all of your money back in returning or reselling the product, send a letter of complaint to Bungie and Microsoft, to at least say that you tried, more closely monitor the content they put out before you decide to buy it, and most importantly: Move on.

1. In a sence the game was rip off. Not much campaign or multiplayer. Firfight was a let down because you couldn't automatically seacrh for teammates to play with. Once your friends stop playing it you pretty much play the game alone and it really isn't as fun alone.

2. Anyone who wants to play all of the games in matchmaking has to buy the Halo 3 ODST game to get the three new maps.

3. Without the second disc it would have been $30 but they added it to fill the price. The one problem is that the people who purchased all of the DLC maps had to buy them again. So everyone who had the maps already paid $30 for Three new maps. WTF!

It just seems to me that game didn't last very long. It lasted about 1-2 months.

Great. By making this yet another thread while other, existing threads, would have been more appropriate, you've provided the whiners with yet another place for them to repost their rants over, and over again. Well done, dude. Well done.
