Since Halo 2 is going to feature Xbox Live i was wondering if it was going to have downloadable content. This feature would kick ass cause then if Bungie decided to they could release even more multiplayer maps and game types. They could even add more guns to the mix. Has anyone seen anything on Halo 2 and if its going to have downloadable content?

I'd gladly pay for the updates like the one for MechAssault. :D

I have seen on the team xbox site that where they list the fetures it has downloadable content as one of the fetures. team xbox are usually pretty reliable, but nothing official, (ie from this site) has been said regarding content download.

Firstly, in answer to your query, no, i haven't seen anything that suggests downloadable content and i dont think there will be, not yet anyway because i predict that Bungie will want players to enjoy the experience of gaming on XBL with Halo 2, simply to enjoy the graphics and stunning gameplay.

Kinda like what they did with the CE downloadable contenet for the PC, they released the Halo PC version and then, about 5-6 months later they released the Mod version. This was because gamers, especially those who already had Halo for the Xbox, were getting bored of the constant Slayer/CTF/Oddball etc., so Bungie, along with Gearbox sortware, decided to release a custom version.

Secondly - this thread has been posted too many times for my, and many others, liking - please do not do it again if you dont get the answer your looking for

Thanks

"Help Help I'm being repressed! Come and see the Violence inherent in the system!"
"Bloody peasant!"
"Oh did you see that? you saw him repress me?"

Trouble with DLC is that if you do LAN then both X-Boxes have to have the same DLC,ie. if you download a new map, you cant play LAN with another box that doesnt have that map. That is how it is atm, and i dont think it will change.

Also they wont make us pay, they're not making us pay for clans, why pay for DLC?

I'm gonna love it if they give us some new stuff, Maps, weapons, etc.

Of course it's going to have downloadable content. Bungie would have to be retarded to leave out that which they won't!

Mabey you would. I would be pissed, I am already paying fifty USD a year for XBL. Considering most, almost all, PC game companies offer free patches and content as well as the support of the modding community; it would be logical for Bungie/Microsoft to offer free content.
