Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

The game is fine it's self, they just hyped it up too much and as a result caused tons of nerd rage.

Yeah agreed,It was just a DLC and they put firefight in and people still complain.

  • 01.25.2010 3:02 PM PDT

The universe is probably littered with the one-planet graves of cultures which made the sensible economic decision that there's no good reason to go into space--each discovered, studied, and remembered by the ones who made the irrational decision.

the game was garbage, why? we got a below par campaign, a broken firefight. Which I am sure they fixed for Reach. Not to mention we had to pay to get the halo 3 maps which Bungie now are releasing on market place. Oh and being billed for a full game. I know bungie had only a year, and you can argue but Microsoft, but Microsoft Intrepid. I will say I work in corporate America, both parties always have a say on the price etc. What it came down to was both parties trying to make a fast profit. 90% of the people who bought this game would of sold it back after the first week if they had known about the maps being released on market place and if there wasnt a Reach beta.

Its was fun but more should have been done to it.

  • 01.25.2010 3:21 PM PDT

Are you saying that it's an expansion so it's ok to suck?

They only had one year, but that doesn't mean they had to do a sucky job. And I'm not talking about all the things like NO MATCHMAKING and crap. It just isn't very fun to play.

Agreed.

They really overhyped the game that made people think this game would be a huge hit. I agree it was a bit of a let down but I still play it with my friends.

Why not post this in the existing threads complaining it is a letdown?
Why create yet another one about it?

It wasn't a letdown for me. Still isn't. I'm having a blast with this game.

Yet they spent what little time they had show boating this half assed game that should of just been DLC and not a full priced game. They could of actually made the game worth the full game retail price if they actually spent the time they had for it on designing it instead of showing off the piece of -blam!- on a disc.

Edit: Due to spelling errors

If I'm not mistaken Bungie was planning this as an expansion and then Microsoft came in at somewhere between halfway to mostly completed in the development and said it had enough content to make a full game and a full game price tag.

Bungie then added in more content (Firefight, Reach Beta, Mythic Disc) to try and make up for the $60 price tag. They couldn't go back and redo the Campaign because of time restrictions. They couldn't tell Microsoft to talk a walk because they would be out of a job.

I think the game is fine.

They only had one year...

Then they shouldn't have bothered. Or, at the very least, told Microsoft to F off and let them just release it the way it was INTENDED to be released. If it was made to be a campaign DLC, then it should have REMAINED a campaign DLC.

Then that means that the Bungie West team would have wasted their time and then been out of a job.

They should have thought about that before epicly failing.

Maybe they did. But if we were held back by every possible pitfall that might occur we would never get anything done. I'm pretty sure Bungie West thought that it was improbable that Microsoft would hardball a $60 price tag when they were partway through their product they were designing for less.

Wow, you're an even bigger idiot if you paid $60 for "just DLC" and a firefight.

Me, I paid $100 for a fine game with a great story (could've had side quests within the Rookie portion), maps that I didn't have for Halo 3 (did I mention how outdated H3 feels to play after playing ODST?), and an awesome unique 360 controller.

But that's just me, I'm also someone's idiot for that.

This is my original acc, but I changed my GT email, so its not linked to this acc anymore.

I agree with what you said. Bungie only made this as a labour of love to the fans of the story, so if you bought it that meant that you must at least like the story.
