Subject: They only had one year

Has no one else tooken into account like me that just as Call of duty waw ODST was just an apetizer to keep their fans busy.

Waw had -blam!- Zombies and most people said it was the only fun thing just as Firefight.

-blinks- are you seriously that stupid? TreyArch had 2 years to make WaW and Infinity Ward had 2+ years to make Modern Warfare 2. Bungie had 3+ for ODST but were stupid and crammed it into a year and then instead of actually making a game they made a 1/3 game then released it as a game with a disc of stuff from a different game.

In 1845, Master Chief & Chuck Norris met at a pub in Ireland. They made a bet as to who could eat more potatoes in one sitting. By 1852, they had both eaten so many potatoes that there weren't enough to feed the Irish people, subsequently causing the deaths of 25% of the entire population of Ireland. History attributes it to a pathogenic water mould, Phytophthora infestans, but the Irish know the truth, and to this day, still refer to it as "The MC & Chuck Norris Irish Massacre."

The game is fine it's self, they just hyped it up too much and as a result caused tons of nerd rage.

If someone gets "overhyped" for a game, it's their own fault.

The game is great, but $60 is a bit steep for the content. Should have been $40 like they originally announced.

Or they should have had a $40 version with just the ODST disc, and a $60 version if you wanted the Halo 3 multiplayer component too.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

They only had one year...

Then they shouldn't have bothered.

Yes, because clearly nothing at all is better than an expansion to a pre-existing game... >_>

Just an FYI, but no one made you buy the game. What you were getting was clearly made to the public. The way I see it, those who felt "ripped off" should have done the smart thing and rented the game first. If your money is that precious to you, then why in the world would you not take a more active role in spending it in a way you find to be wise?

To the OP, it wasn't the company that over-hyped the game, it was the fans. Don't believe me? Take a gander at the earliest posts of this forum, the Halo 2 forum, the Halo 3 forum, and now the Halo Reach forum. The problem is and always will be the fans. They expect far to much and then feel it was the company that let them down when they don't have their way.

I especially love the posts that say the reason "Halo ODST was a letdown" is become Halo Reach will be ZOMFG awesome! When will people learn? The correct answer is never.

On that note, here's a word to the wise... expect nothing and you'll come out ahead.

The only way for ODST to be truly and absolutely appreciated is if the buyer had not bought the Heroic, Legendary or Mythic pt 1 map packs. ODST was essentially the H3 version of Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack with a side-story campaign for those you love the Halo Universe and Firefight for a semi-competitive survival mode of sorts. The fact that the latter two were done in one year is pretty impressive, especially the Hub.
