I have been wondering this for a long time and i have not found any answers.I have played bothe games and i really think that they are really good. But i highly think the movie could not be as possible good. They would not get the right voices unless they used the characters voices from the game.If you want to talk to me more about this subject you can message me or talk on this board.

I would have to agree with the majority on this one. I feel that if it was live action it might come off in a cheesy way, a real cheesy action film, nothing more. CGI on the other hand could convey the story the way we know and love.

I was so impressed by the action and look of the short " A day at the beach"- it blew my mind. It would be a real shame if the film didn't act up to this standard.

CGI all the way!!!!

I think with the 75 million dollar production budget in place(without talent, etc.), they're trying to make sure that the Halo movie doesn't come off as some cheesy action flick. I doubt they'll do it as an CGI animated movie, since it's not going to be marketed as something like the Incredibles(remember how people responded to Final Fantasy:Spirits Within).
They'll probably do a combination CG Chief for the really dynamic action bits, and then have a guy in the suit for the rest of the time. I hope they do it Vader style, with Steve Downes doing the voice. They should NEVER show his face. They should concentrate on building a really solid ensemble cast around the Chief's character. The human/live action cast will be the emotional connection point(the characters the audience identifies with).....the Chief must remain as badass and mysterious as ever.

the halo movie cant be acted by real humans, that would ruin the hole thing!
and the mastercheif should not show his face!

and i dont think the movies action should be about halo 1, but mabe BEFORE halo 1, you know, when all the spartans die , and how the spartans was made and so on.

Hope to see H3 soon

shade killa, CGI stands for Computer Generated Image. Meaning it would be animated. I think the CGI would be cool, but im hoping for the real thing. The clip "day at the beach" was amazing, so i would'nt have a complaint if that was how it was done, but im hopeing for non-CGi

Maybe "cheesy" was too harsh of a word. I just fear that we might lose Halo to holly-wierd. I fear the worst I know, but a lot of films these days are just two bit conversions... AvP =( and all the other countless comic book films. It shouldn't be as run of the mill as that. It can't be, its Halo!!

As for CGI, I think it could be the only way to truly convey the story. Personally I thought FF: The Spirits Within was Amazing. Absolutely beautiful, visually.

Make Halo The Movie CGI!!!!
Its got my vote...

If it did go live action, I would have to agree about the vadar aspect. It has to be the Steve Downes. He is the cherry on the cake that is the MC. Its a must.
