KAOS DEAMON:
A slight ‘’incident’’ has occurred in the forum. Me and Random have both been banned by myself. Which is annoying? Hopefully this is fixable? PLZ? Random is becoming angry.

Yes, I agree with you, OP. This moderately pisses me off when I'm try'n to be sneaky.

Yes it would have been nice if you could shoot a grunt with out being spotted instantly.

Armor Lock vs. Top Speed, Approaching Ghost = Super Awesome!

NO, YOU KNOW WHAT WEAPON HAD TO BE SILENCED! THE F-IN ROCKET LAUNCHER!

The weapons were silenced to sound cooler.

That's all.

It was even stated in last year's GI article of ODST that this was not meant to be Splinter Cell: Halo.

ODST was not meant to be a stealth game.

I liked the auto mag, it allowed for fast one shot headshot takedowns of groups of grunts, I hated the SMG. Waste of time using it, might as well spit on them or something for all the damage it did.

Why the hell there's no BR I'll never know.

That's like silencing a M107 Barett .50 cal.

Speaks for itself.
let me guess; since you played modern warfare 2 you're now a weapons expert right?

Obviously he isn't because he said "silencing" rather than suppressing.

Anyone who knows anything about .50 BMG rifles (or any high capacity rifle cartridge) is that suppressing them is more a matter of reducing the amount of dust and debris disturbed (and at night, muzzle flash) than reducing the decibels. Suppressing high calibre rifles can be an excellent idea and not one to be scoffed at.

Well the advantages of suppressants of any kind are obvious. pretty much every modern rifle has flash suppressants designed into the barrel itself.

I agree with both of you, I have always loved using stealth in games.

I was a little excited about the SMG being the main weapon again, and that it was going to be silenced. What really disappointed me is that the silencer has no effect on its use in stealth. Like, you can't shoot a grunt with a pistol in the head and get away with it. All the brutes/grunts will start attacking you instantly. The silenced SMG was just a more accurate SMG with muffed sound and a scope, really. Same with pistol. Halo 2 pistol with muffed sound and scope.
agreed
