All right, one more time, since my original posts are on about page 8 already, and I got a whopping response total of ...1. Again, note the quotes around solver, meaning nothing may be solved.

OK, I can't take it anymore. I am sss (ibshimo2), the one who submitted the original anagram. You guys are taking this way too far. Please read the my original post at hbo, where I say (twice) that this is one (of many) possible solution. Also, if you follow the thread, I conclude that there are some serious problems (cd-rom, at 8/24 instead of on 8/24, and 'ironclad prediction' being weird), and that another solution should be found (which I haven't). Yes, it's intriguing, yes, it says what a lot of us would want it to say (which is why I posted it), but there isn't a grain of salt big enough for this. Proceed with _caution_.
Thanks,
sss
p.s. There are a series of threads on unforums on this, one in particular where samari trashes me (even though I'm trying to agree with him).
Thanks!!!

Hey everyone, sss is totally correct! You can get anything and you people must remember... It's just a game. Relax. Personally I got:

HALO TWO EARLY RELEASE DATE - AUGUST TWENTY FOURTH. PREORDER RESERVED COPIES NOW.

and...

HALO TWO EARLY RELEASE DATE - AUGUST TWENTY FOURTH. BE EXCITED TO CALL IN SICK.

Like everyone has said you could make anything...almost. I had fun.

Yeah. Given a combination of letters such as the ones we were provided with you could make litreally thousands of combinations of sentences that would take even the best of computers around today months to figure them all out. Many of them would even have something to do with Halo 2

Sorry, this post got pushed up, and I missed your question.

Yes, all letters and punctuation, you can check it yourself. The anagram would be completely useless without that. Now it's just possibly useless. :)

Just curious...

Well, there are some (I think complete) solutions on unforums. Things like (I'm paraphrasing like crazy)
'OOH, I'M A FANBOY AND I THINK DANA IS TOTALLY HOT. CAN'T WAIT FOR HALO 2, SAN ANDREAS, AND METROID PRIME.'
the other main version (again, paraphrasing like crazy)
'SORRY ALL YOU LOSERS, WE'RE CANCELLING HALO 2. BUNGIE AND MS RULES'

There are some bright folks over there, although you think they would want to spend more time working on their arg game than clever insults directed at halo fans.

Yeah, I think it's funny. Gotta be lighthearted about it. I guess they're trying to make a point.

It would help if they stopped spamming and flaming and joined the cause to solve the puzzles.

My thought exactly. I wonder if it occurred to them that eventually the arg will get so complex that they'll _need_ the halo fans to work things out. I mean, some of those guys know every terminal of Marathon, every Halo line of dialogue, and every possible spelling of Cortana and Durandal. Forwards _and_ backwards.

There is an awful lot to sort through. Personally, my best subject is in the books. Which I am currently re-reading. Alot of info is coming and we need to be ready. Ever heard of Rope-a-dope? Not an insult.

Yeah, sure, Ali vs. Foreman. Who's doing the rope-a-doping?

I'd guess who ever is in charge of the site. They are setting up a distraction with all the info and puzzles. Then they just might smack us all from behind. Watch for that left. That's why I looked for other clues.

Got it. Bungie loves that, the earth-shattering (halo-shattering?) twist. While bungie probably are not _directly_ responsible, I'm sure they had approval over every part of the content of the arg. They are extremely protective of their intellectual property. Rightfully so, I really appreciate the effort they put into the story of their games, starting with Marathon.

I agree it's great to have a company that makes you think instead of handing everything to you. I got involved at the Halo level but I am researching the past. Impressive.

PS We got off subject.

I guess you're right. I'll start a new topic, titled, um 'halo and arg players: why can't we be friends?"
