I just installed Halo on my PC and when I go to play it says - A problem occured initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG - I run DXDIAG as it says and I check if the hardware acclerator is enabled and it is and i have no idea what to do next please help!

Same thing happened to me... it views my video card (a 32 MB) as an 8 MB... and i can't figure out what's going wrong...

You need to install Direct 3D drivers. Do a google for Direct 3D 9a, 9b, or 9c

i had the latest Direct 3D drivers when i tried and it didn't work for me

Direct X views my Video card as a 32MB (which it is) but Halo views it as an 8MB for me...

No offense bro but even if you did get halo to run on a 32mb video card it wont run good at all. get the lasest drivers for your video card. also since you vidoe card is horrible then at halo shortcut target line you maywant to put this

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -novideo -vidmode 400,300,60 -console -nojoystick -screenshot -use20

or for better perfromnace you can change the vidmode thing to -vidmode 320,240,60
