Let me explain in more detail. Fraps is a program for your PC that can allow you to capture videos from gameplay. You just open it before you open Halo, and Fraps runs underneath it. During gameplay, if you come across something that you want to capture, you press a key (which you designate) and video begins recording. Press the key again to stop recording, and immediately a video clip file is saved into a folder (which you also designate). Now you could pay for the full version of Fraps, or go for the trial version. The trial version is identical, only there is a "www.fraps.com" watermark at the top of each clip, and you can only record up to 30 seconds of footage at a time. But it's free, so many people opt for the trial version. In order to turn these clips into a finished .wmv movie, you need a good movie editor like Windows Movie Maker. Windows Movie Maker comes with a lot of new PCs, so check and see if you have it. In WMM, you can take the clips that you captured and assemble them into one film, with title cards and music. You then save the movie project as a .wmv file and voila! You have a movie that you can share with the Halo community. I don't have Halo for Xbox, so I'm not sure on how to capture film using that.
