Hey.

I have a 64 megabyte "Nvidia Geforce 4 440MX with AGP8X" video card. And the game still looks like it does on my lap top which has a 32 mb "Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 420"! I have the newest drivers installed too! Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Sincerely
Me.

Well 64mb isnt really that great and the Nvidia Geforce 4 440MX isnt really a good card. if you want to see the full effects of halo youll need a 128mb card with directx 9.0 features. I think you should go with a ATI 9600xt to get good framrates and very goodlooking grapics.

well thats the thing. my mom brought home a lap top from work to play on that she had to take back in a couple of days. it was 64 megabyte too. I don't remeber what type, but I do remember that it displayed the full effects of Halo.

it was probaly a different model that had more directx features then you video card has now.
you could always get the new drivers at nvidia webisate

lets just say the mx440 cant process some of the effects halo uses. and leave it at that.

if you want all the effects in halo... buy a better card. at least like a fx5700 or a radeon 9600 xt or something

I am taking it your current computer is a Dell? Yeah I am on a dell. But I have since upgraded. Dell are made for home use. Unless you get the XPS Gen 5 which still sucks compared to what you can get at newegg for three times less that what dell offers. If you want I believe you have the standard Dell 250W PSU? Well a nVidia GeForce FX 5700 LE 256 MB. will run on it. I however have upgraded my dell to a 6200 TC which works fine. Just don't go out and buy like a 7800 GTX for your Dell. It wont even run. 7800 atleast needs a 600 PSU.

i thought we already had a debate about overpriced pc's, and people agreed that dell's aren't as overpriced as alienwares.
