Let me ask bungie a question for once: why should everyone that has odst have to beat the game on legendary to get dare? what if were not willing to waste 4 to 6 days hammering at the levels and failing over and over again, just for a character in firefight? shouldnt they make it so you get dare for beating the game on any difficulty but easy? or maybe do all of ODST's vidmasters? maybe even just endure(its hard enough as it is)?

Nothing is better than gaming through the day, into the night, then back into the day. It's like when you finally push that power button you feel like you've accomplished nothing, but at the same time, you can't stop smiling.

If you ask me, ODST's Campaign was the easiest of all the Halo games, so you really should have no problem beating it if you just manage to find the power weapons and take your time through each level.

true, but what if some of us big ODST fans dont want to take time hitting it hard on legendary? id much rather do Endure then beat the entire game on legendary

  • 02.02.2010 8:15 PM PDT

If you dont want to beat it on legendary, then don't do it. simple as that.

And if you do, go to the classifieds and find some teammates. Legendary is extremely easy in ODST.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

Assuming you have payed the game and comppleted it your estimation of 4-6 days should be lower than that. I don't believe Bungie ever stated that you have to beat it on legendary. If you want to play as Dare then you will beat it on legendary.

I like to think that we don't have to do anything in life we are just made to believe that we do.

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

Compared to Halo 1, this is easy on Legendary. The only hard bit for me was the hunters on the level with Buck.

This. Took me about 4 hours total, solo

Nuts on corpses men, move out!

^ This. It's not a difficult campaign, nor is it a long one. I just finished NMPD HQ on Legendary, solo, in about 40 minutes...

Grenades! Lots and lots of grenades against them. Just remember to "stick and move".

Here's the thing: my wife is a Halo player, but 1/ she's not that good at Halo, and 2/ she likes to play firefight and matchmaking, but not Campaign so much.

Now, we have ODST, and the only Female character has to be unlocked by playing the whole Campaign on Legendary.

Do the math. I think it just shows that a vast majority of Halo gamers are male.

I personally wish Dare would have been unlocked with a specific level like the others, like Data Hive, for instance (though completing the game on any difficulty but easy would have been fine too).

I'm not against characters unlocked as perks for particular achievements, just that the only female character of the game happened to be the hardest to unlock. This didn't make sense to me and my wife.

Are you kidding me? ODST was WAY too easy on legendary. I got Dare within a couple of hours.

Finding the love of my life, and moving house really screwed up my gaming orientated lifestyle.

QFT - ODST was a very easy game to beat, even on legedary, and your estimation of 5-6 days is completelly off, it only took me two days to beat on solo legendary and im only a mediocre player at best. Just stick wiv it or get some teammates (both work just as well). lol =)

Legendary isn't all that hard, so it's fine the way it is. 4-6 days? Try 4-5 hours.

Completing the game on legendary takes 4 to 6 days? Didn't take more than 1 day for me to play the game on legendary solo >.> And the vidmasters are pretty easy too unless you're below average.

She has Recon, and people like Recon.
Simple reason why people want to play as her.

I personally, do play as her, but without her helmet. It's just so much more satisfying to T-bag brutes as a Lady.

And I'm a Fella by the by.

Hello! I'm a male!

Wait. It took you 6 days to beat the campaign? I had the day off and beat the campaign on legendary in like 6 hours. On legendary. Probably can't do it now because I don't play Halo much anymore. But seriously? Stop trying to get them to make it easier for you to get Dare. I mean she's just a Firefight character. Either do what is required to do or not unlock her. Quit whining in the forums.

This took me and a mate at least 3 hours if you don't want Dare you aren't obliged to get her she is more of a trophy.

I wasn't aware there was some sort of fandom police deciding how many games it takes to be a fan of ODST...
