Now since all the map packs are out, and since I don't have any other than Heroic, I was wondering if I should:

A. $60 Buy ODST brand new and get Reach Beta

B. $45 Buy ODST on eBay, maybe or maybe not getting Reach Beta

C. $30 Buy all the map packs on the Xbox Live Marketplace

D. $??? Forget about Halo, Battlefield:Bad Company 2 is coming out!!!

Buying used will get you the Reach Beta no matter what, as it's accesed through the main menu of the campaign/firefight disk. So used or new would be about the same.

But not all ODST games have the Beta, do they? Some don't have the it printed on the front, so it won't get Beta?

As far as I know, every copy of ODST will have access to the beta. It's not an additional item, it will be part of the "extras" menu, correct?

Sweet! I thought it had to have it printed on the front, and I wondered why I couldn't find any on eBay.

Yes EVERY copy od ODST will let you play the beta.

So...buy ODST and save that $15 until you have $30 and then buy all the map packs aswel :D

You are the only one able to answer that question for yourself.

It all depends on your own interests in ODST itself.

If you think of just buying ODST for the map packs, then I think you're making the wrong choice.

If, however, you are buying ODST for the game itself, New Campaign, Firefight, playing an ODST, with the handy Mythic disc allowing you to clean up your XBOX's hard drive as an additional perk, then I can safely advise you to buy the game.

Short version: buying ODST just for the Halo 3 map packs is kind of ridiculous to me, honestly. Buying ODST for the game itself PLUS all the Halo 3 perks that come with it, however, seems like a good choice to me.

Sorry, I can't hear them over the sounds of Modern Warfare 3 on my Turtle Beaches.

Looks to me that buying ODST would be the best bet for you.

Always have fun.

You should definitely get ODST. As everyone knows, you already get the 2nd set of the Mythic Maps, so it would save you the trouble of downloading them. ODST it self is a good game. Campaign is solid, and Firefight should keep you busy for a lil while. Also, you get to play the upcoming Halo: Reach multiplayer beta that's only accessible on ODST.

I would get the disc. With the disc you can take all the maps with you anywhere and with the ODST disc you get to play ODST and the Reach beta.
