"To be a great player, one must first trust in himself..." Hitman1447

Okay, ill get right down to the point, im having trouble with my copy of Halo: Combat Evolved, when I try to join multiplayer, it only lets me make a game, but it wont let me join one. Every time I try it says, "Unable to join the game server!", and I have tryed every trick in the book to try to get it working! Heres a list of what ive already tryed doing. Ive already cheked the ports, there 2302 and 2303, the connection is fine, the firewall has been turned on and off, both dont work, so if anyone has any idea on how to fix it, please help me! (Also, if you want to, ive started a new clan recently, check it out and see if you want to join, its fun and active, we even have a site under construction!)

Avatar was awesome! If there is to be a Halo movie, make sure James Cameron gets the job!

He downloaded it from an evil site. I can guess right?

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

If you have a router, make sure it's set to allow connections to hosts on port 2302 UDP.

Something smells fishy...

If you haven't done this already you should:

1. Got to http://portforward.com Choose the brand of your router or DSL/cable modem. Then select Halo and follow the tutorial on how to open the necessary ports of your router/modem for Halo 1 PC.

2. Turn off the built in firewall of your router or modem (this is not the Windows firewall).

It would be helpful if you specified what operating system you're using.

I've found that the Windows 7 operating system's firewall is more complex than previous versions of Windows.
