Hunler, I swear to God ... you couldn't let Pope have the tank for even one round without practically bursting into tears over XBL.

SV used to be a distinguished place filled with misogyny, male chauvinism, and downright sexism. We were the strip club of B.net. Now we're turning into the schoolyard playground.

I beat the game on solo-legendary in one sitting. The game was so easy a 5 year old could be it on Legendary. It was very disappointing.

To you alright. Not to me. We can have differing opinions without either one of us being "wrong", you know?

I personally have a lot of fun playing and replaying the Campaign. Anyone can speedrun through it of course, but I actually take my time on each run. I appreciate the mood, the ambiance of it all, and particularly the Streets at Night, as a matter of fact.

As for it being easy, well, it's not Library-hard, I'll give you that.
It's entertaining enough to me, though.
I don't like dying over and over again because the game's uber-hard, personally.

For the record, I played through Legendary in 368 minutes (i.e. 6 hours and 8 minutes) total, on three different sittings/days, with a total of 56 deaths. You completed your run on one sitting, that's true, but played during a total of 349 minutes (i.e. 5 hours and 49 minutes), with 73 deaths.

My point being that whether it's short or not is a matter of opinion and perspective, since we played for roughly the same amount of time in our Legendary runs (though on three different days for me and a single one for you), as is the question of whether the game is too easy or not, since I don't particularly suck at it either (I did better than you on a deaths count).

Yeah, also check this into your stat calender. I work midnights and got the game at 10 in the morning when the store opened and went home after working for 10 hours. I think an extra 17 deaths isn't that big of a deal. If I actually tryharded the campaign rather than play for speed I'm pretty sure I could walk out with under 10 deaths. Nice try though.

This game in my opinion was good. I haven't played it for a while because of MW2, but when my addiction to it dumbs-down a little I'll go back to playing Bungie games too. And for the people saying that the price and Mythic Map Pack part II are why you hate it that was Micro$oft's choice, not Bungie's. Threads like this make me want Bungie to lock this entire forum.

I bought ODST.

I was very dissapointed by virtually every aspect of the game, personally. I played like maybe 3 levels of the campaign and had no desire to play it any further.

You're doing it wrong. An ODST NEVER GIVES UP!

*smacks you*

Don't be upset with your purchase yet dude... NOBODY is done with there ODST disk yet. :)

My favorite playlist was MLG, so I had no problem with the 60 dollar fee to play that playlist

I stopped there and felt bad for you.

Why is everyone so quick to use words like conned and scammed when all they were was displeased with a purchase?

con-

v. To swindle (a victim) by first winning his or her confidence; dupe.

n. A swindle.

adj. Of, relating to, or involving a swindle or fraud

While I'm sure Bungie did a good job of saying nice things about their game, which is the logical thing to do, but they can't help it that you were not satisfied. So that leaves two other definitions. ODST wasn't a swindle, it was a game that the publisher priced, that is perfectly legal. Maybe the last definition will give you luck. Nope, Bungie had no connection to a fraud so you are out of options friend.

Sorry, you were not conned, just displeased, get over it.

Three square meals and Halo 3!

lmgtfy.com is that site that does google for you! OMG!

>>>>>BUNGIE IS NOT MAKING ANY GAMETYPE SPECIFIC PLAYLISTS UNTIL A WHILE AFTER REACH IS OUT!!!<<<<<

^^^For your Copying and Pasting pleasure. =]

Why didn't you just buy the Multi-Player disk seperate?

E-Bay? :)

I recall original statements from Bungie about releasing the game as an expansion, and by extension, at a lower price.

Microsoft set the price. Bungie made that statement in the extreme early stages of the game's development. It "evolved", as Staten said, "into a full-featured beast that we could all stand behind at a $60 price point."

Posted by: III Kirby III
Either way, the main reason I purchased it was so that I could play the MLG playlist,
editor's note: well there's your problem, jk =)under the false premise that the Mythic II map content would never be DLC material. Guess I was wrong taking them at their word.
Their word? Bungie said there are no plans of releasing the maps as DLC at this time. That is in no way definitive or absolute. Also, I hope the ambiguous 'them' in your statement refers to Microsoft. Though that would still be an invalid statement, it would at least place the blame on the correct party. The Microsoft team is the group in control of pricing and marketing (remember that e3 fiasco?)

Right now, I use my ODST disc as a coaster for the cup filled with tears of my sorrow. Does anyone else share a similar sentiment?

*sigh*

Have fun with that Reach beta. You do remember that you need the ODST disk for it, right?

edit
There's one more thing I'd like to note that seems to have gone un-noticed. A Halo 3 DLC map pack costs 800MS points. That is $10 US.

ODST came with TWO Halo 3 map packs.

Now I don't know where (if?) you learned math, but to me that means the game costs $40 and you payed for two map packs at $10 each.

Lol ODST blowed. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a blind, idiotic Bungie fanboy.

Being close minded is such an attractive quality. Keep at it, I'm sure it will pay off someday.

Don't get all pissy because he has a different opinion than you.

You're defending someone who made a very broad generalization, an insulting one at that. Good job.

lol How about instead of being condescending you TRY to explain how ODST is worth $60 to anyone who already has H3. Oh ya you can't because anything that comes out of your mouth would be some micky moused argument so save face because its OBVIOUS odst isn't worth $60 ESPECIALLY now that the maps are out.

Wow....thats the largest wall of hypocrisy i've ever seen...

throwback

I omitted the Team Throwback playlist from the attractive features of the ODST release.

I was pretty pumped about a new ranked objective playlist with BR starts. However, as you mentioned, the population of the playlist makes finding a game in a party of larger than 2 a near impossibility. In the rare occasion that I could fine a game, in the high 30s, a fair portion of the population was comprised of circle boosters, de-rankers, and host-booters.

A sad reality, considering the competitive merits of that playlist are on the same plateau as MLG, more or less. A 50 is basically unachievable if you want legit games.

The game is short and VERY dark on my TV. I couldn't find my way half the time >_>. The game is great though, plus you get to play the Halo Reach beta!

I don't understand why people keep asking other people if they are a sugary substance used to spread on bagels and toast.

It wasn't worth the $60.

Rage Mode: Engaged

I doubt anyone here was old enough to enjoy Halo: CE at launch, and appreciate each title as its own entity. Halo: ODST itself should have been DLC for a total of $20 and that's STILL too much for any respectable gamer. Little kids need to stop whining about M$ making the price what it was, it wasn't worth anything. Unless Reach is remotely decent, the past decade should only be used to show how quality can fade as money increases. Halo defined shooters on consoles, Halo 2 defined Multiplayer on consoles. Halo 3 allowed Call of Duty to show how a game that isn't a laggy mess can take over. If you disagree, you are a disgrace and deserve no opinion.

I am now going to toss all that out the window because the ODST soundtrack is pure sex And without ODST this would never had existed and i would have been sad...

Asinine assumption on your part.

If you'd read my OP, you'd see that I've played all the previous games, ya dig? Including Halo CE at launch.

It had an interesting campaign, but it did get boring after some time, although firefight was fun.
