Well, that about covers it.

Other than what's been listed so far I can't really say, but I've had some great times with my old clan the Suicyed Squad. We would all mess around pulling jokes, stunts, glitches and such to make the other players laugh and sometimes they joined in, it rarely ever happened but still. Few members of the clan are left now, and we hardly ever get back together. Hopefully we'll all rally back and have one last laugh before Halo 2's plug is pulled.

There is so much to say, but I'll try and restrict myself to one:

Tower of Power on Ascention (I've been missing it for a while already and I have yet to see a convincing and equally fun Halo 3 variant).

Hell ya! but anyway everything halo 2 was my only game for my xbox besides halo CE until halo3 and all the other games that fallowed. And way too much to say...

Now, finally, in 2010, I can finally play Halo 2 online like I've always wanted to since November of 2004.

1.Firstly:

I Remember me sitting at a friend's house with a cousin and three other friends playing a Dreamcast when we all started talking about which console we were going to get next. Everybody said PS2, but me and one other guy were like, "Xbox all the way bro". The reason? We had both played Halo CE and we just KNEW that Sony would NEVER come close to that greatness.

Sure enough. Me and Sergy ended up with Xboxes and all the other dudes came for LAN parties...before they all gave up on pansy JRPGs and we all converted to Xbox by early 2003. I never had Xbox Live though. I was just a kid with no money, so I was left out when Halo 2 came out and everybody started playing that online. Sure I'd go to somebody's house and play it, but pretty soon, of course, I'd be the only one who sucked.

So, in early 2010 after I've grown old enough to move out of my parent's house I bought an Xbox 360 to play Halo 2 and feel what I'd been left out on in 2005-2006 when all my friends were crazy about and crazy good at Halo2..only to find out that it's going offline.

2. Also:

Hell yeah, no matter how many people you had up there defending each possible entrance you always lost, even if it took a couple hours.

You better get it together, Marine or the Chief'll reach down and pull you inside out by your -blameable-. And that'll be a sweet, sweet mercy. . . compared to what I'm gonna do to you.

What people are really missing is the contribution to the community that everybody who played this game made. The game itself was great but the greatest thing about it and any Halo game is the Seventh Column. April 14 I will be giving Halo 2 it's proper Matchmaking farewell.

I still can't belive it's going to go. This was the one game beyond all others that I could play for hours. Whether it be all the mini game custom games, or it be the place I met all my friends, it still is one of the best games I ever played.

This game gave me so many more memories than any other game. That's what Halo 3 is missing. That little thing that brought 16 player custom games and brought the never ending nights of staying up, hanging out with friends, and goofing off. That thing gave Halo 2 that slight edge over Halo 3. I will miss this game. I'm going to play my heart and soul out on April 14 Because I know that will be the last time I ever get a chance to.

As I read through all of this I can't help but wonder why Halo 3 doesn't have that it factor H2 had? I mean in all honesty the game is better, but it just doesn't have the same experience. When I played/play halo 2 I just really had fun and enjoyed my experience, people seemed more into it I guess. But halo 3 has a ton of casual players who just kinda don't care as much. There are less call-outs, and less of I guess a community.

I think the game itself wasn't the problem, its the people who played it changed, and those of us who love bungie and halo were no longer the majority.

Even though I wasn't an H1 player, I felt like when I joined into the H2 playing community I hadn't missed a beat. It will be sad to see this game go away from live, but I know whenever I have a lan part I will make sure that H2 is played!

That's because the BR in H2 was hitscan. In H3, you cant know for sure they are gonna die just because the cross hair was red with a dot. And that's what I'll miss the most...

My Halo 2, hitscan, quadshot capable, Battle Rife.
(surprised nobody mentioned that yet)

Glitching out of the maps in Halo 2 was the best. Another fun thing was abusing the physics engine and turning the Scorpion tanks into catapults to send other players flying. Watching the tank go spinning around the circumference of Coagulation a million miles per hour was hilarious too.

playing customs with modders, trashtalking, an actual functioning leveling system, rocket sword glitching, getting out of maps, ghost launching, ring of fire, cops n' robbers, ZOMBIES!, Nascar, 8v8 Ctf, knowing you are going to lose a CTF match, telling the other team "Peace, Peace!" and doing a dance around the flag begging them to have mercy on you, hide n go seek, trying to get the golden warthog, getting outside of gemini, superjumping, butterfly, president.

Sooooo many more i am forgetting, and will hopefully remember.

This game came out when i was in 7th grade, im in college atm... 0.0

Good stuff bungie, u made me adamant about halo/xbox/videogames. :D

here's to 6200 games of halo 2, and probably a total month of my life, and guess what, sooo worth it... :)
