Something smells fishy...

This is completely opinionated.

What I believe are quality kills in Halo 1 PC using either the Pistol, Sniper Rifle, or Rocket Launcher:

For Pistol:
1. No grenades thrown.
2. Multiple head shots during a duel.
3. More shots that hit the opposing Spartan than miss.
4. Very few shots fired to kill an opposing Spartan.

For Sniper Rifle:
1. Versatile. Example: jump and shoot accurately.
2. Hitting a moving target from a long distance.
3. Moving and shooting accurately.

For Rocket launcher:
1. Consistently lead a target and destroy it without firing multiple rockets.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

This one seems a little weird. I mean, I know nade spamming is just noobish, but baiting shows tactical prowess.

True true, 'nade spamming is especially annoying. But I'd say that throwing a minimal amount of grenades during a pistol duel shows skill with a pistol. I agree that a well thrown grenade is definitely a quality skill.

If you want to split it up into quality with individual weapons, you should have grenades be in their own separate group.

But that's silly. It's already not good quality to use only one weapon in the first place to the exclusion of others. You've got grenades, if you want to kill the enemy, use them! They make easy kills of even the toughest of enemies if you know how to throw (if you throw, your opponent will dodge away in a straight line, meaning headshot-headshot-headshot is easy, and that's only if you don't catch him in the blast). Being able to consistently kill the enemy is all the quality you need, and whether you can use every weapon at hand to kill them is the mark of a truly versatile player, whether it be warthog, sniper or melee.

Then again, sometimes killing someone isn't your objective. A couple of times I've duelled with very tough opponents for several magazines worth of ammo and neither of us died, because I was keeping him away from his base while a horde of others stole the flag. If you can fulfil your objective and make the opponent fail at his, THAT is QUALITY play.

being versatile to me means that you are able to consitently get kills with any weapon than you find on the ground, especially if you run out of ammo for you pistol or sniper.
