Subject: Was ODST a good game?

Maybe I will never be
All the things that I wanna be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why
I think you're the same as me
We see things they'll never see
You and I are gonna live forever

I liked it.

fan =/= fanboy

I don't need a PhD in gameology (I hope that is indeed made up) to know ODST is nothing special. It's a simple run of the mill expansion, that was grubbed up by MS to an overpriced $70 bucks.

Also, I have done nothing wrong here. I did not attack anybody, simply commented on their opinion after giving mine. Is that not the point of these forums, to share and comment on others opinions, and to provide feedback?

Don't get so mad, because nerd rage only serves to further humiliate you.

LOL

Sorry to break your momentum, dude, but to me, you're just some random troll on the internet with no linked gamer tag. You haven't seen me mad yet.

When you start saying that people are obviously lacking experience with games, however, then I will question your own. You've opened yourself to such criticism by being a douche to someone with a differing opinion than yours.

If the point of a forum is indeed to share opinions, it is certainly not its point for some random guy to insult others just as randomly, just because they are hiding comfortably behind their computer screens, like you're doing right now.

You think ODST is not worth the money. I get it. You're entitled to your opinion. That doesn't give you some sort of license to be an ass towards people who happen to like the game and think they had their money's worth with it.

So give up the internet tough guy act, buddy. You're not fooling anyone.
Internet tough guy? My, my. I have never seen myself as particular tough, I Mean I can hold my own, but I ain't some 6 foot 11 beast with arms the size of refrigerators.

I am by no means an internet tough guy, for if I was an internet tough guy, I would be engaging you in a angry and violent manner, not a respectful and polite manner for which I am currently using. I fail to see where I was such a -blam!- as all I said, in a polite way, was that said poster does not seem to be the most experienced. Then you, as the ODST forum superman, had to come in guns blazing proclaiming me as the devil, and you as some sort of crusader for good.

I'm not buying it. I have been respectful to you, and not insulted you, where as you have to me.

If anything, you're the internet tough guy here, not me. But I digress, because you will simply come back in here and run your mouth off again.

Nah. I think we both said our share. It's alright.

Halo is the most awesome game i've ever played. It has a great story, an impressive gameplay and It plays well with others, this is the most important point. A game is usually created to make people have fun. And Halo gave me many and many hours of pure enjoiment.
Thanks Bungie for made a such wonderful game.

ODST was a pretty good game for campaign and firefight but it would be better with some improvements on the Online gameplay... adding just three maps... so disappointing...

The Halo 3 Martyrdom

It was a good expansion. But a horrible game. Definitely did not deserve the rip-off price tag Micro$oft gave it. The only reason I haven't traded it in yet is because of the Reach Beta. But once that's over and done with, I'm going back and getting something else.

(Bungie > 343i)

Personally I thought it was a great game, it had it's drawbacks but what game doesn't?

  • 02.06.2010 3:15 PM PDT

i didnt like it. i felt like there wasnt enough multiplayer options

Pros:
+ Campaign
+ Characters
+ Story
+ Firefight
+ Entire Halo 3 Multiplayer Experience

Cons:
- Price
- Short

From my extensive research and investigation, I have come to the conclusion that Halo 3: ODST is a good game. It's still better than a lot of games that came out last year. Also, I blame Microsoft for the pricing. Last, it saved $10 from buying the Mythic II Map Pack.

You forgot the Reach beta

It was an insult after Bungie created 3 of the greatest games of all time.

Oh dear God, a game that isn't the next greatest game in the franchise, that has never happened to any video game developer before.
Not to mention that it was supposed to be / is an expansion.

mongooses are the best. Remember that.

Do you like to forge? Want a place to share your maps? Want to join a friendly forging group? Plasmic Forgers

It's good, but it just get's boring after a while, there's just not enough to do.

  • 02.06.2010 10:08 PM PDT

It was a great game.

Was it worth the $60?

I'm leaning towards no though.

ME2 was known for stupidity and being retarded

Completed EVERYTHING in 2 days.

No good replay value. I should've waited until this was able to be bought on Gamefly for 2 dollars.

Herping your derp.

It's better if you're playing with friends. Really, the game was decent enough, though rather short and the later parts once you start solving the mystery started getting lame. Personally, I just liked the idea of assuming a new role each mission.

I loved it, not for Campaign or Firefight, but the soundtrack.

Marty outdid himself here.

It was pretty good, not the best game of last year, but it was pretty impressive considering that it was suppose to be a campaign expansion at first even though it's priced like a full on sequel to Halo 3. But yeah, I liked it and still occasionally go back to system link some firefight occasionally.

File'O'Share

One of the redeeming qualities.

Sup gaize. My names Kieran and I'm a 14 year old drummer from the UK. I have a second account called PandaSixx so I may be on that more than this.

Visually ODST is a very good game with a creater that has made good titles in the past. However he campain is too short for my liking as i completed it in two days. The firefight was a ood idea. However the lack of a search engine made this flat and I got bored easily.
ODST=6 out of 10

Tru7h. C4RN4GE. Bungie.

Yes, the price was the problem, but that was Microsoft's choice. Or maybe it was stosh...
