Subject: LIVE shutting down for orginal Xbox Games , effect us PC Gamers??

I mainly play Halo 3 on my 360 nowadays, but everyone now and then I'll go back to Halo 2 on Live and Halo CE on the PC for a bit of nostalgia.

With this news I might consider getting Halo 2 for the PC. How is the community there, and about how many players do you have online at any given time?

7 weeks after the infection: news of a sauce halo2 comes out on the gravemind forums fixing the crap and adding coop

8 weeks after the infection: someone creates a WORKING SDK
I like that, but microsuck and bungie are ignorant companies, when it comes to community development.

they tried so hard to restrict h2v's -blam!-ass h2ek, and they suceeded.

Maybe I will never be
All the things that I wanna be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why
I think you're the same as me
We see things they'll never see
You and I are gonna live forever

Most likely not I cant speak for H2V but H1 is supported by gamespy arcade for online play.

H2V uses Games for Windows, so I don't think they will take that down.

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

Considering that both Halo pc and H2V online play is based on dedicated servers, the answer is a definite "no".
