Subject: Will I still be able to play Halo 2 offline?

At first this question wasn't a problem to me, but just re-reading the announcement on the main page a minute or two ago I realised this:

This also applies to original games being played on an Xbox 360.

Does this mean I will be unable to play Halo 2 campaign and offline multiplayer on my 360 after April 15th, because I gave away my original Xbox a year and a bit ago.

Its still playable offline. It just means XB1 games played on live via the 360.

Thank God. Halo 2 all started with split-screen multiplayer for me, and was my inspiration to get LIVE shortly after Halo 3 came out.

Dude, haha. That's exactly like me. Got LIVE about 3 months after Halo 3 came out.

I remember I played split screen for months after Halo 2 came out. I thought I was really good at Halo. Got Live, found out I was sadly mistaken.

That's what I've been asking sorta of can we still get the updates that are needed to play certain or for that matter most xbox disk games on the 360?

No, MS will come to your house and break your disc then lol in your face about it

They did phrase that poorly, but as others have said, you'll be able to play offline and do LANs and stuff.

OMG a Pwny!

If they're still around services like Xlink Kai would still work.
