I noticed that about 90% of the people who flame Halo 2 on this forum are just members and the lovers have many prefixes. This is because the haters have barely played or never played halo 2. This really makes me angry and I wish that these haters could have played halo 2 in its prime time.

Interesting post but your view is narrow. I think the flamers are mostly trolls who used to belong here and got banned (for trolling) or they just drop by to ply their wares. Either way I don't think they are motivated by a genuine hatred of H2, they just like being trolls.

We used to have a lot of trolls but they are pretty much gone now and when one does show up now and again they are dealt with swiftly.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Yeah I remember this Grumpy2 troll. He used to really get on our nerves around here.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I like halo 2 and i don't have a billion prefixes...
Most of the flamers are just trolls. many flamers (like superhorrormaster) get banned.

It's a good thing I'm a pokemon trainer, and can handle your Jiggly-Puffs.

I had a prefix, but then it went away for no reason...

Still we put them in their place, and made them look like fools.

Your thoughts are extremely stereotypical and you're generalizing this community as a whole way too much with your nonfactual percentages. Logically speaking, the chances that you're going to see a high titled and trusted member on this website troll a forum to high hell isn't as probable (although possible) as coming across a user of normal member status who is breaking the rules. On a normal basis the automatic thoughts that come to mind while seeing an individual break the rules is that they are either new to the board or a compulsive rebel.

There is absolutely no doubt that in more ways than one a user "title bar" on this website is occasionally connected to determining on-spot if a user has had a history of going against the system. From what we know about how member statuses work and how users are promoted, join date is also a factor, which also helps determine if a person has bypassed their previous ban history by creating a new account. It's only common sense that a handful of people who enjoyed Halo 2 are more seasoned on this website due to how old the game is, but that doesn't mean newer members can't pick up the game and post in this forum about their experiences as well. Just to make sure I was clear enough about the silly stereotype: enjoying Halo 2 is not connected to a titlebar on this website.

In a way, a bit of what you said is correct and I can agree with, which leads me to branching off to the topic of why you may not see a lot of impolite members here. Forum migration of the website population comes into play in the deck of cards, the spew of blacklisted members daily you may notice in other forums more populated is because the torch has been passed on to bigger and better things, so to speak. There aren't as many people who frequent the older forums who frequent the newer forums... go figure. Although, I don't see why someone who has never heard or played this game would come in here and flame it unless they were a designated troll, in which case is very common. Haters will hate, it's natural.

The unfortunate truth and fact of the matter is that not everyone is going to be able to experience Halo 2, let alone in its era where it was once the new big thing to play and talk about. Primarily what we all have left to do now is bask in the glory days of the multiplayer, discuss the story and not let any nonsensical disrespect from user to user get to us, just like we wouldn't allow it to harm us in any other forum.

Heh, by an oversight I lost my name for a while. I signed in with another name and was titled 'Member'. You should have seen the change of attitude toward me. I decided then and there that I would never judge someone by their 'Member' status.
