It'll get easier. I hate to say it, but "Practice makes perfect." The more you work at it the better you're going to get.

Obviously, it's not all on you though. Make sure you've got teammates with at least some degree of skill. They don't need to be the best, so long as you communicate well with one another. It's definitely an Achievement where you're going to need to work together as a team.

Also, just take it slowly. It took me about 2 hours and 10 minutes to get to Set 5 when I did it. The important thing is making sure you play smart. Don't die a lot over stupid mistakes. It's better to take cover and pick of enemies slowly, especially once Black Eye kicks on. Also, play it especially safe in the early Sets. You're going to want the lives to add up so that you've got an alright buffer as you get further into it.

Good luck to you.

Yeah I know what you mean. This was the 3rd or so time we tried (the first two attempts were laughable at best and we didn't even get past the 1st set) but we got alot better in the hour and 57 minutes we played haha.
One of my friends (and me included) are a 40 in Halo 3 multiplayer, but we quickly learned that the skill for this is almost completely different. Alpha Site was our map of choice, and besides a few stupid random deaths from sticks I think we could have made it. We are trying again sometime this week, so hopefully with our recent attempt it will be much easier...

Yeah, Halo 3 multiplayer skill and ODST skill hardly translate. I'm not half bad in ODST, but H3 Matchmaking is a bit of a chore. I guess it's just easier for me to pump lead into an AI instead of an opponent on the same intellectual plane as I am, haha.

But yeah, just keep going at it and I'm sure you'll get it. Teamwork will make or break you on this. Make your shots count. Oh, and have at least two people keep Fuel Rod Guns as a secondary. They make it a little easier once Chieftains come around, and can also help a little with primarily Brute waves.
