Subject: Blacklisting and perma-banning.

No. What I am saying is that they will learn prior to being perma-banned. If they know that if they break the rules one more time they will be perma-banned, they will learn the rules fairly quick.

This really doesn't matter much, it will never be implimented. The mods that have replied don't seem to like the idea, and the mods are the ones that matter.

Gimpy, don't be an idiot. Comparing the wiimote to the power glove is like comparing sex to dieing.

Yes, good point. I guess we should drop it.

I think it's strange that ye olde karma score didn't come up in this thread, though. People are always suggesting a karma system where you can't post when it gets low enough, but time increases it so you will just fade below the post-capable threshold whenever you're being a jerk.

And also, don't you think "five blacklistings before a permaban" is a little weak? I mean, come on, people aren't that stupid.

People aren't that stupid? As I had stated earlier in this thread, I thought of this because somebody who already had 5 blacklistings created a religious thread.

The real point is that people might think that it is OK to break the rules if the rule is considered "minor". They might be willing to take a week off just to spam a little. Well, if getting perma-banned is the consequence to being stupid enough to break any rule, people will follow the rules much closer.

That'll be the day when thats what it comes to ^_^
