The definitive answer to your question is "we don't know". If you look at the box art for Halo 2 you will notice that is says "Xbox Only" at the top. This does not mean it will not come out on PC (as Halo 1 said the same thing) it just might take awhile. Personally I believe it would be cheaper to get an Xbox than wait for the PC version. Especially if Halo 2 is anywhere near as hardware intensive as Halo 1 was. If it comes out in a year, your current PC might run it. If it comes out in two years you might have to get a new one. Keep in mind that a new Xbox is 150$, a refurbished one is 130$, a used one is 120$, and a new PC is generally anywhere from 500$-2000$ if you need it for games like Halo. Despite all this you decide for yourself, if PC has a lot of other games your concerned about and would buy a new PC for if you had to, go ahead and wait. Its your choice.
