A patch needs to come out for halo 2 vista to fix the following problems

1) LOW FIELD OF VIEW, an option in graphics to increase your field of view

2) a frame rate slider, basically a bar in options where you can type in a number that limits your game to only get that many frames ( i run halo 2 vista @ 240 frames a second on max settings, and this causes extreme mouse stutter, and game lag)

**also, i've noticed people say you need to cap @ 29.95 or 30 fps to make the game feel stable, but there is no option to do so, i doubt you guys can fix that because its probably something coded from when you had it on console, so instead of fixing a huge issue, add an fps slider bar so we can fix it ourselves!)

3) Server browser needs to be fixed so it updates faster, and displays info accurately

4) the menus seem to bug out when you go into options and look like they are stuttering, again this may be because i am getting high fps, i do not know

5) using a mouse feels slow when turning sometimes, as if your sensitivity is low, something needs to be done(also if you use a 360 controller the game enables an aim assist of sort, where as if you use a mouse you lose the aim assist)

6) add the option to vsync (even with an fps slider, some people will still get screen tearing, so make sure you give an option to vsync in the options)

Well thats it, people please sign here if you would like a patch to help fix these issues, i think if this gets into a patch, halo 2 vista will work fine and people will start playing again!

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Yes, yes and yes. Did I mention HELL YES.

You've hit the nail on the head. All those issues should be addressed. I can add two more issues that should be fixed, but might require too much meddling with core code to accomplish:

Fix the jiggling effect of gunner and passenger in warthogs. It wasn't present in Halo 2 Xbox and is obviously a bug introduced while porting.

Restore the original behavior of the Carbine. The uncapped rate of fire is ridiculous and totally disrupts weapon balance.

I'm so glad someone else can see these problems and make them known. Thanks.

Halo 3 for PC.

as a veteran of Killing H2V.
I'd say we need:

1. Online Co-op (we don't need 4 player limit.)

2. 32 Players for Servers only.

3. H2EK fixed.

4. M/K stuttering in some instances...

5. Fix the damn DX renderer, its no wonder unicode/char has become the ultimate H2V flaw, in which the browser is SLOOOW!

and objects from either end, becomes transparent, which is retarded. Phantoms, Gondola, BRs etc, look stupid.

6. -debug_startup ???

7. make moar moneyz $$$$$$$$

Grenades are like RAM, you can never have too much

online coop has been done it works almost completely if you get the people to download the client, however one of the main devs on kiwis team got pissed and deleted everything on most places he has admin on so its hard to find the client side files

.....Someone go find those

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Bungie and Microsoft abandoned this game years ago. The Microsoft development team doesn't even exist anymore.

If you are upset, don't buy anymore Microsoft games and boycott Alan Wake on the 360.

thats not going to help, there was no co-op mod, the least you could find was a mainmenu mod which adds the campaign maps for multiplayer selection.

even though they no longer exist, Micro$uck still has the source code, which any one can volunteer to update.
