Definitely the label. I mean seriously.

EXAMPLE: Miyavi. At first he was all good there were fansites for him, they all hosted an array of beautiful pictures. Then one day his record label "PS Company" decided pictures of him on websites is violating copyright laws. So with that they made any site with a picture on him take it off. Pictures are only allowed now if the website owner has signed permission by the company. Nope, no written permission from Miyavi, because they don't care

Next thing. Miyavi was going to come to America. We wrote in his online journal how happy he was going to be, and even made a few english entries. Then Pretty -blam!- Company made him cancel. Why? "Because their sound engineer was unavailable" and they had to have that exact same guy or else they concert wouldn't live up to the company's standards!

So yes, it is true. Some companies have all their artists on little 3 foot chains and can't leave the premisis with out their label's permission. "Lyke OMG! He like so totally showed his face at the mall, we'll lyke sue everyone that saw it!"

I think you get my point. ;)

That made me mad when he had to cancel. I had tickets and everything. His replacement band Pyscho le Cemu was awesome though. They interacted a lot with the concert attendees and I got to go to this special thing and eat breakfeast with them, and get my picture taken with them and stuff. Man, I was so nervouse when they went around and shook my hand. O.O

In my opinion I'm a good promoter and I'm not real mean about it...but what drives the people up there in the label to be such barbarians...probably about power but what about power drives someone to be such an ass?

They just want the money, that's what it's all about. "Why let them type the name on a webpage for free, when we can get money off of it?"

See what I'm saying?

Yes, twitch most bands have sold out. Now it's all about the money; you can't find many people in it for the music anymore.
