I have a question about the core clock speed of my GeForce FX 5200 Asylum Edition. When I bought the card, I beleive that it was advertised the core clock frequency was supposed to be 280mhz (opposed to the standard 250mhz). However, I recently checked these settings from my computer and it appears that the card has only been running at a core clock speed of 250mhz (for both 2D and 3D modes) and this is also the default setting. The memory clock frequency is 400mhz. I haven't tampered with these settings at all, so I'm wondering why the card has been running slower than it is supposed. Has anyone here had a similar experience. I'm thinking of just overclocking it back up to the advertised speed because tech support over at BFG thought it was odd too. They want me to try and put it in another PCI slot in case there is some sorta conflict or otherwise send it to them and have to pay to get it repaired. I don't know what sort of conflict there could be since I have the old on-board graphics that came with the computer disabled.
