last night i decided i was gonna beat halo on legendary alone. whoa. in the first marine crash site on halo when three drop ships come at once, took me about 30 tries to beat it. but i finally did. and i think im already alot better than when i started. elites are alot more intimidating than before. i just wanted to know what some other people's legendary experiences were like. post up

i think that one of the hardest legendary parts was the gravity lift on Truth & Reconceliation....both outside and in.....also the library...a few parts there too gave me a bit of trouble....but now its a piece a cake most of the time....

I dont know it seamed that The Library was pretty easy except for a couple parts. but you are right i had more trouble with Truth and Rec than i did with Library.

Yeah i also got my ass raped. it was a -blam!- going through the whole thing. it took me a 2 weeks to beat the whole thing on legendary (spring break, no sleep)

first time i played legendary by myself i was amazed at how many shots to the ass it took for an elite to die. Then it amzed me even further when i found out how many melee attacks to the groin it took to bring em down.

it sounds like you were testing them to see how much -blam!- pain they can endure

it took 14 melee attacks to the ass to bring down a flood. The only stage were i died more than three or two times my first time on legendary was the flood. But at least i found out about the 14 melees to the ass.

I was looking up something on the PC when I started the Assault level on Leg.

My friend showed up and un-paused it, took over my game, about 30 seconds into it he
called me in... had me try it... it was crazy hard!

When I first played Legendary by myself, I did get pounded pretty bad. Levels that gave me a hard time were Halo (part w/ 3 dropships comin in and you gotta protect the Marines), T&R (Gravity lift was fairly easy, but I got raped in the part where you first go into the Launch Bay w/ the cool music playin), and The Library (ALL throughout the level!).

I find The Library to be far more difficult on Legendary than Truth and Reconciliation. Theres just so many Flood, and you can only fire that Shotgun so fast...then you run out of ammo and grenades, and you know melee attacking is pointless.

When I played Legendary for the first time, I had just beaten Halo on ez by my self. I thought it was to ez, so I went right to Legendary. I'd just rush out and kill everything I could in ez. I tried the same on Legendary... You can guess what happend next, lol.

My first legendary experience with Halo? Well, that would have to be the frist time I played my own copy of the game on my own tv with my brand new xbox. I'd played the game a handfull of times for a handfull of minutes at some other friends houses, and figured I'd just start up with legendary. Never before have I been so immediately and desperately humbled by a video game. The elites just laughed. Hell, the GRUNTS were laughing. It was a bleak couple of hours in my gaming history. For the record...I went back later and kicked the -blam!- out of all the elites and grunts that laughed at me in my halo infancy...over and over and over and...

first level i played was Silent Cartographer, just because its soo easy. After that the levels got harder and i left T&R, library, and keyes for last. i beat them in the opposite way posted. in the other difficulties, usually you can run in and shoot everything, with legendary you have to memorize where the enemy spawn points are and take your time. its all about patience.
