In my experience with all of Bungie's delays and such, an official release date (which isn't worth a damn, they've had to change it before) has just as much credibility....
As Bungie never posted "an official release date" for Halo 2 until E3 this year, when exactly did they change the date, and what was it before the "change." Care to provide a link?
That's exactly what I was going to say, thankyou for sayign it first. I'll clear it up a little more so people can understand better though. When InjunJim says "(which isn't worth a damn, they've had to change it before)", he is actually talking about the greedy marketers. You know all those video game and electronic stores that had "release dates" posted on their sites. For the record those were suspected and like Frogwart said Bungies first release date they ever said was at E3 this year. I also remember Bungie coming out with a statement saying they wouln't release a date until they knew, within a month, that they were going to be finished with the game. I would have provided a link, but seriously I can't find it. Anyway, I looked through every page of news and couldn't find it. So if someone knows where it's at or has the direct quote, feel free to post it.
