Any chance of a price drop soon for Halo 2? It's $40 CND and my friends and I are just not willing to spend that much for a dated port...even if it is Halo.

Halo 3 for PC.

it shouldn't even cost that much for a outdated port of a outdated game, with outdated features. XD

$5 - $20 is a ok price, google shop it.

There wouldn't happen to be a Canadian version of google shopping would there? Couldn't find it.

I really hope I can find the game for $20 or less. The major electronic stores around here (that have it) sell it for 39.99

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

It's 30 bucks Canadian at Amazon.ca

...but it's not worth half that.

Yeah after looking through some more stores the cheapest I found was $29.99. Does it really not work for windows 7? One of my friends uses that os. It would suck if he can't play it. If it doesn't work, any way around it? I remember hearing about how there is a way to play it on xp even though you shouldn't be able to. Is there a similar situation for 7?

It is perfectly normal for people to hate a game that they were not satisfied with.

seriously, I just bought a game more crappier than Halo 2 on Xbox.
by comparison,
H2V requires more CPU.
High-end graphics card, and delivers crap back.
alot more than 64MB ram.
No mods, or advanced creativity.

I would rather play H2X on a emulator, than play the actual PC version.

Oh man, first review on that Newegg product page:

Pros: Superb graphics improvements, the gameplay is solid, and for those who originally played the xbox version, you can use a 360 controller on a PC so you're not having to learn new controls. Overall, way better than the xbox version.

Cons: Too bad you can't play split screen on this version, but then practically all PC games are that way, and it's only useful if your PC is hooked to a big screen HDTV.

Other Thoughts: For those who have been complaining about Halo 2 being Vista only, the reason is because Vista is the only OS that supports DirectX 10, which was utilized to make the graphics on this game look as good as they do. For those gamers who haven't upgraded to Vista yet (or dual booted like me) then you haven't seen the major difference in graphics that DX10 can offer. This is also the reason why it took so long for Halo 2 to come out on the PC.

Just my 2 cents :)

Superb graphics improvements... DX10... and he considers the 360 controller support as a pro?

Lol......
