The smarter AI for sure. You know, marines ducking under ghosts, jackles summersalting away, that kind of thing. And the fact that you got the see the health of you passengers.

Add on.

...gawd i love being a gamer right now...

Larger, free and more open environments and the ability to approach any battlezone from any angle you choose with any tactics you can think of, while feeling fairly non-linear.
And the opening scene: You awake from cryo-sleep to see the man in the control room above you destroyed by enemy forces, only to then have you guide explode right in front of you, and you are forced to find your way to the bridge as battle rages all around you. That was an awesome opening.

Yeah that was good! But then in halo2 you already knew about the flood :( so what? Does the fact that halo2 follows off where halo:ce ended make it suck? Well, in a way it does but its not like Bungie had any choice. The open levels were a bit better... apart from the small amount of vehicles you can drive.

Some people enjoyed the changes in h2, some didn't and some hated them and though it would be fun to rebel against one of the best companies around. I don't think Bungie sucks judging by the way Microsoft was eyeing them up ever since the release of halo:ce.

Anyone who dislikes halo2 but doesn't get pissy about it is a decent person. Others can't accept peoples opinions, want to ruin peoples fun or just think that being different is cool. Not pointing at anyone. What these 10yearolds don't know is that a minority can't change things. The majority of halo fans like halo2. Bungie doesn't think "oh these poor bastards want fair MP, lets change it to their liking"

Halo:ce is kind of outdated now if noone has noticed... not that I care what game you prefer to play.

One of my favorite things about Halo 1 was the wider field of vision. It just made movement and viewing the battleground easier and more comfortable. When I play Halo 2 I feel like I have tunnel vision and I'm constantly staring down a scope that isn't there. I miss things like grenade tricks and useful powerups in Halo 2 as well. That added so much depth and complexity to multiplayer. (IMO)

The Shotgun (my love of it still exists in Halo 2 no matter how much I refer to it as a laggy P.O.S.)

There was more stealth to Halo: CE than there is to Halo 2, you used to not need an Active Camo thing built into your armor to get behind enemies and assassinate them.

How the Covenant vehicles exploded based on the damage they took, unlike now where every vehicle could have exploded 50,000 times but if the driver doesn't die neither does the vehicle.

The Flood didn't have headshot zones in Halo: CE.

The plot was better, Halo 2 should probably have focused more on defending Earth because if one ship out of 15 can run through 100+ defensive weapons when 20 were able to hold off a large fleet at Reach for a while then there is a problem.

There's more but I can't think of it off the top of my head.

After reading WhiteHelljumper's post I thought I'd mention about the "crouchwalk-and-noone-can-find-you-on-their-motion-track er" feature. Which has to add to the stealth, I love this cheesy addon - when my friends aren't screening! The flood headshot zones were really helpful... sometimes I'd rather vs flood than sentinels in halo2 :)

This is the Halo CE forum, why do you keep talking about Halo 2? You trying to be the alternate universe version of the halo2sucks.com crowd? Besides, if I wanted to play a stealth game, I'd go play Splinter Cell. I thought I was buying a first person shooter, not a stealth game.

Because I like both games so I go to New Mombasa and the Library but just play halo2 more... Speaking of stealth games, have you seen theif? Apart from the fact that its disgusting and gory I like some of the gameplay.
