Good job doing old stuff, Lets focus on New stuff!

I seem to be having some trouble trying to start Halo 2 Vista on my Windows 7 x64 computer. Every time I load it up, It comes up with
Live Gaming on Windows failed to initialize. This may be because another
LIVE Gaming on Windows application (such as the Halo 2 dedicated server) is
running on the same machine. Otherwise, reinstalling the game may fix this
problem."

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this error?

I'v done everything that Microsoft's tech guys and Caboose OMalley have said...

I think you openned the game twice. Or maybe you started game for windows live then you started halo 2 vista, but halo 2 vista started game for windows live itself.

I wish I could help you, but I don't have the game.

Halo 2 isn't the problem. its GFWL, and a certain catroot file.

I'm having the same error. I have not yet been able to get it fixed, but as Gunmonkey points out, it is a problem with GFWL (Games For Windows Live).

I've found several threads on other forums about it, but it does not look good for Windows 7 users at the moment.
-Basically, its an error with certain versions of windows live, and can only be fixed with some inconvenience work-arounds...
