Yeah the graphics look amazing but the spartans look like fat asses. What's that all about? It seems like there are too many one shot kill weapons. Where is the battle rifle? Maybe there's something they're hiding but it seems as if the 1 on 1 battles won't be as much of a duel as they should be and team shooting won't be as important as there is no BR. Maybe I'm being too quick to jump to conclusions but this trailer didn't really excite me too much. It's too much of a drastic change from what we're used to in Halo multiplayer gameplay. I wish it could've been all the graphic enhancements but more like the Halo 2/Halo 3 gameplay. That's just me. Something tells me MLG won't have as popular of a circuit for this as it won't be as exciting to watch pros play. It seems like there aren't any skill weapons other than the sniper rifle. God I hope I'm wrong. This is just a first impression, don't hate reply.

Am an identical twin and a quadruplete all rolled up into one huge ball of awsomness

P.S: If anyone cares twin is Cadeus AI

Looks absoloutly kick-ass. Cant wait for it to come out. Curse you Bungie for teasing us with, what looks like to be the best halo multiplayer to date.

Also I hope that they keep firefight in. It's fun and was only in ODST so, it would (to me) be pointless to use it as a one time thing.

The BR and Sniper are not skill weapons, they are top tier weapons. The fact that no other weapons can outperform them between enemies of equal skill means no other weapons will be used.

Halo 2 and 3 get boring really quick because every match is the same: Who can out BR/Sniper who. Other games (cough, Call of Duty, Battlefield, cough) have a variety of weapons that are all balanced against each other making for less monotony (and making skill more important, as you can be caught off guard when you you're not used to encountering weapon Q). Skill is not a factor, as opponents of equal skill should have really tight games (it is a factor that cancels out as its on both sides of the equation). Thus, the reason why the BR and Sniper rifle are used all the time is because they are superior, and that shouldn't be.

Not having a BR in Halo 3 leads to less teamwork work because every other weapon sucks. If the AR worked like an AK or M4 (And the SMGs [that includes the Plasma Rifle, and Spiker] like actual SMGs; etc, etc) then those weapons would work well in team coordination.

This game is starting to look really good. It looks like the grenade launcher is a one-hit kill weapon though, thats a little disappointing

Wow sage nerfed the whole game...

First of all I LOVE YOU BUNGIE! Second of all I think I may be posting this wrong, sooo don't hate me if I am. Anyway I'd like to say HOORAY for jetpacks and morph ball form! Also the new weapons look interesting. I have very mixed feelings about the new melee system, the new animations are going to change gameplay a ton, especially assassinations. I fear that there will be no more ninja kills and being able to get a quick assassination and running away to safety. And also it is going to be super annoying if I have to go into 3rd person every time I want to punch someone in the face. If you could do all of these cool melee animations without having to go into 3rd person or have the ability to melee normally, that would be cool. Also there were no dual wieldable weapons in the trailer, is that feature gone? I hope not. And where the hell is my BR?!?!?! Also the graphics from first person are amasing but the graphics in third person are kindof bad. Are you guys gonna polish that stuff up before the beta? And the loadouts... I hope you guys don't change the Halo formula too much. Also I noticed that different characters in the Reach campaign had different body shapes, namely jorge has a huge body type while kat had a slightly smaller body type, will we be able to customize your character this way. And the elites are now bigger than the spartans, like they were in halo ce. How much will this effect gameplay?
I am a bit scared at what I saw in the video but I am confident that you guys will make this your best game ever and make people who dis it now, eat their words later. There is just 1 other thing That I would like to see in reach... A dual wieldable Jackle shield (that is, wielding a shield along with a weapon and not two shields) I have wanted to use one ever since I played Halo CE. I think that that would be awsome!

armor abilities are just like equipment that you pick up, only they are more than just one time use.

Look closely, I think they are showing the medals on the bottom of the screen
Posted by: Aggressor
I gotta say I was really, really sceptical of the multiplayer in Reach, with all the new additions. But that trailer looks -blam!- awesome!

I noticed that there weren't any medals when that one guy got a double kill. Are you cutting out medals from the on screen action and saving them for the Carnage stats after the game? Or has it just not been implemented yet?

... I'm sorry for cursing btw. My excitment got the best of me.

I agree with this guy, you just cant create a game without some part of it look like it was stolen or copied off some other game. What i like about this game is that Bungie makes the multiplayer fair and even. Everyone starts out with the same weapons. I just hope they keep doing that with the armor upgrades. If people get to start out with those its going to get old real fast. Everyone is going to use that oversheild ability or only use jet packs. Diversity is what makes a game great, and racing for that diversity is what makes the game fast pace and exiting.

I agree with Rash to an extent. These are a lot of features that exist in other games. Halo: CE had a lot of features that existed in other games too. The difference is that Bungie does it right. Loadouts will be balanced, framerates will be good, etc. Plus, the player population alone will make this game much more fun than most. You don't have that in the other games. They are taking a bunch of good ideas and making them all into one "crazy sausage".

As far as weapons and features that weren't in Halo 1- Halo 1 was one Spartan on a busted up ship that just escaped a massive battle. I don't think they took the time to grab all the weapons and technology from Reach before it was destroyed. *Boom* 'splained.

It looks to me that the game type is that if you get a headshot a skull is dropped, and if you die you drop all of your skulls.

Is Headhunter just Team SWAT with Headshots-only enabled?

Looks more like to me that it's a gametype where you don't get any points for a kill, but the corpse then drops five skulls which any player can then collect. Presumably the most skulls at the end wins.

Could be interesting.

Otherwise: looks amazing.

Dear Bungie, now we have rocketpacks, could we have a skybox that's just a starfield with zero-G, so we can play zero-G Griffball. That would be full of win.

Not only that, but the squad you're with in the campaign are (mostly) Spartan-IIIs. And, seeing as the S-IIIs were more top secret than the IIs and had special armor types and equipment that weren't even available to the IIs, the armor attachments aren't outside of cannon.

Nice, this looks like a great combination of Halo and Unreal Tournament. I can't wait for May 3rd.

You got Teabaged.

everything looks awesome except the jet packs. I don't unederstand why you would put them in...

One shall stand, one shall fall.

I thought I'd mention, too, that the addition of location labels next to the radar is a really great idea; makes callouts so much easier when you've got specific location names to work with.

rash dog im sorry but you are completely wrong in my opinion, i respect your opinion though everyone has their own thoughts but if you are a halo fan then this video would excite you. i paused this vidoc at almost every second just to look at the details and this is taking halo to the absolute next level. the graphics are 4 times as better and all these new elements to gameplay is going to change the way this game is played.

just because another game had a jet pack in it doesnt mean they are copying it. that other game you mentioned didnt invent jet packs so for halo to put it in doesnt mean they are copying anything. and even if they admitted they copied it it is still a nice feature to the game. i have a feeling this video just gave us a taste at what the whole thing is going to look like this game is gonna be amazing

One more thing, people, dont complain about graphics in the beta. Its not the finalized version of the game. They still have till fall to patch everything, thats what a beta is for.

The reason I play Halo 3 and not Call of Duty is only because it takes more skill and teamwork to win games. If this game is meant to be like COD Combat Evolved style, Bungie made a huge mistake in my opinion. I'm going to scrap reach and go back to Halo 3 if that's the case. And I'm sure I won't be alone in doing that.

"We have come to a place far from home / Time long passed since we have seen the sun rise / A place where peace can finally come / A place where we can rest and laugh and sing and love once more."
A Soldiers Tale: Rainforest Wars, the military classic written in 2164.

It would be really cool of you could use NATAL to control hand to hand combat like at the beginning of the video. U know, save the controls for shooting and the main stuff, while having NATAL for the fancy stuff.

The reason I play Halo 3 and not Call of Duty is only because it takes more skill and teamwork to win games.
Any game can be side A won if side A has a really good player and there's no teamwork to be found. Believe me, a team working together in CoD will rip through a team of randoms just as easily as would in Halo(I've been on the receiving end more than I care in both games). And, for reference, most of my matches in either game are all randoms. Both games go the the same way in terms of teamwork and randoms.

The only reason people think Halo needs more teamwork is that because its been in the competitive circles far longer than most other games.

If this game is meant to be like COD Combat Evolved style, Bungie made a huge mistake in my opinion. I'm going to scrap reach and go back to Halo 3 if that's the case. And I'm sure I won't be alone in doing that.Halo hasn't evolved much at all. The only reason its still strong is because its a big name, and hasn't faced much competition. The facts are, there are more good features a game can have than Halo CE/2/3 has, and other games have these features and are putting pressure on Halo. Don't worry, though, it won't be Halo CoD style: the new features will definitely be Halo (as evidenced from the trailer).

But my main point from the original post is that Having 2 weapons far and away superior to all the rest is blanking stupid. Why bother having *any* other weapons at all if they're not as good as the select few? Variety is good. I don't want to use a BR all the time (just as I don't use the same 1 or 2 weapons all the time in CoD [I cycle between 5 to 7, for reference]).
