I think Bungie did a pretty good job with it, A lot of people didn't. What's your opinion and what would you have changed about it?
The campaign was exciting, but it didn't really pull me in as well as I would have liked. For me, i couldn't really place myself as the rookie because he didnt have ANY personality. I think how they gave the master chief a backstory and a couple of one-liners was a perfect balance of intimacy and keeping it vague enough that most people can relate. But the rookie was like a robot.
Firefight is one of the best things about ODST. It was a great way to mix things up. Although, i would have really enjoyed a multiplayer component.
The audio logs were a good way to keep the game interesting and I was actually pulled in to that story a little more than the main storyline at times. that's soemthing that they should definitely have an equivilent to in Reach. (Or something like the terminals in H3)
If i could add/change 1 thing to/about ODST, I would change the campaign. I'd add some more backstory on the squad maybe even a level with the whole team together. And i'd make it a little longer.
if could add 1 thing to the halo 3 multiplayer disc, I would add a full map editor. the sales would have practically doubled. It's something everyone's wanted for a long time and it would have given a lot of people a lot better of a reason for shelling out $60.00 for it.
Sorry for all the criticism Bungie, I only say it because I love you.
