No.

You have to remember that ODST was supposed to only be an expansion pack at first, but Bungie decided to add more content to the game and it became a full-priced title. Whether or not the change in price was justified is an open question, but it was never Bungie's decision to change it and they were very careful to avoid advertising the game as a stand-alone title. The game itself lived up to what Bungie promised us and sold quite well. I personally enjoyed ODST for what it was, an expansion to Halo 3, and not as a full game in its own right like many people treated it. I don't think it was a failure nor do I think that it failed to live up to the standards set by the other games in the Halo series.

It wasn't a full game?! Wow 'cause I treated it like it and I LOVED IT!!!

Contribute to 10,000,000,000 covie kills!

It was fun for about 2 weeks, like most games.

I'm only keeping it for the Halo: Reach beta. Still, better than I expected it to be.

It's a great game to play with friends on occassion and I just loved the campaign. Remember that it's $60 for ODST, Mythic Maps, the convenience of having all maps on disc, and the Reach Beta invitation.

Considering all that came with it I'd say it was a good buy. If it were the ODST game itself (campaign/firefight), I'd give it $30 - $40.

I don't understand why people debate this. It doesn't matter the game is how it is.

I thought it was a great game. The people who say that it's an Epic Fail aren't considering the fact that most of the Bungie team was working in Reach and the few who were working on it only had a year to make it. So when you realize how many people made it, and in the time they did, it's even better than Halo 3.

We have been raised for combat...
We carry our banner to our fights...
Alone we are a menace, together we are a threat...
Born to raise hell, live to drop back in it...
Never retreat, never surrender... we are spartans.

I thought it was to short and while firefight does amuse me, It isn't enough for me to play on a consistent basis. I mostly only got it for the Reach beta and the mythic maps.

Shame it came out during the peak of COD's popularity, as it kind of got swept away by many people. If you gave the game a chance you will notice the amount of detail put into the game, shows Bungie care about every little detail

In terms or re-playability? Yeah. But I'll never admit to it being a fail, if not I wouldn't have bought it. Plus, I'm a Bungie fanboy :3
