Allow me to set the stage. The Rookie is alerted to a new area, a long bridge on the outskirt of the city, one that has been blown in half. Near the end of the bridge lays a Battle Rifle. It is glowing yellow and can't be used as a weapon. When he picks it up, he holds it and pretends to fire it. The familiar voices of Cortana and Sergeant Johnson echo in the background.
Cortana: Thanks for the tank, he never gets me anything.
Johnson: Oh I know what the ladies like.

We see the graphics have changed, they have been reverted back to Halo 2's graphics and we are greeted to this cutscene.
That's right, you get to re-play the Metropolis level from Halo 2. I'm sure you all remember it? Once you finish and revert back to ODST, the Rookie would make a "WTF?" body gesture and toss down the BR.
Think about. It would add a nostalgia factor, would be relevent to the story, and it would allow you to use the Battle Rifle again. Personally, this would be awesome. This would also please the people who wanted Master Chief to cameo in ODST. Oh, and it would include the Scarab Gun.
Oh well, it won't happen and I understand that. Wish I had mentioned this earlier. But what do you think? I mean, it really wouldn't impact the story too much or anything, but it would be a nice treat.
