I've got quite a wall here, but it's full of pretty good stuff. Excuse the amateur formatting and painfully uncreative file names and you might just find something you like.
Enjoy!
Almost all of these were down without any assistance outside the game at all, but with a few (and they should be fairly obvious) I used a Timefreeze cheat to get the effect I was looking for.
I'll start out with the least impressive ones.
Upsides down- As simple as this one looks, it's actually very difficult to make a warthog balance on it's back. It's got a tendency to lean to either side, so blasting it into position took some time.
High Rise Hog- Same thing as the first image, just with a whole lot more explosives and luck. Anybody who's ever played on Danger Canyon knows what the structure that hog is sitting on looks like.
Beam Tunnel- In Halo CE you gain control the instant you get in, and for the last moment before you snap back to player. This allows you to still move the vehicle while you are still getting in and out. I used a ghost and landed inside the beam tunnel on Infinity in here.
Ghost Hold- Pretty simple. Back the ghost up into a corner and let the wings catch on the ledge. Line them up right in a neat pattern and you get this nice effect. A lot easier than the above 3 images to do, but just as cool.
Tank Hold- It takes an incredible amount of patience and explosives to get this one right, and to be honest it happened purely by accident. Nothing too interesting, but somewhat funny nonetheless.
Looking Down Damnation- Some of you may remember the old Telebumping glitch from CE. If you don't it's where you align your player into a position where the incoming player from a teleporter will force you through a wall. On Damnation you just so happened to telebump on the top of the map if done correctly. Did some exploring and found this shot.
Tower of Power- We used the same method as with the "Beam Tunnel" capture, but instead repeated the process 5 times over. Then we struggled to form a tower to get this one.
Sidewinder Garage- This one took the longest amount of time to create by far, and was done with the assistance of only one other person. If you recall Sidewinder had a tunnel structure in the ceiling without a barrier at the top, meaning anything could freely go in and out (except for occupied vehicles).
These two go with the above. One image for looking down the Hog side of things, and one for The Covenant.
Hog Lineup- Done on Ice Fields. Used explosives to blast the hogs from the bridge to the ledge, then rinsed and repeated. Afterwards we lined them up over the edge, and all shot in a general direction to get this look. Take note of the alternating types of hogs.
Hog Pose v.2- Similar to the first, but in a different position and on a different map. This one was surprisingly difficult to pull off. There really isn't a whole lot of room up where those hogs are.
Ghosthendge- Easier to do than it looks, actually. All this one required was for you to get the ghosts in a nice and pretty circle, then throw a Plasma Grenade in the perfect spot on the back of the ghost. Too high and it just pushed forwards, too low and it flew out of control. Took about five minutes to create.
These next ones are where I used various cheats to get the effect. I'll explain each image capture individually.
Ledge Sitter- "Oh, nothing cool about that one, right?". You're probably right, but it was tough as balls to create. That hog is sitting a good 60 feet about the ground on the TEEEENY little ledge. The only way to get it up there was to use Unlimited ammo and a bottomless clip. I spent at least half an hour trying to get it up there. Also, I used a super jump to get high enough to take the screenshot.
Matrix Man- Timefreeze and Invincibility used here. Shot a ghost which forced our Elite friend out. Then shot two rockets around him. Nothing too cool.
Sidewinder Garage- I used the same garage as before, but then turned on the cheats so I could blast a tank up that hole. Tanks are incredibly heavy, so this was much harder to push up. Like a square peg in a round hole. Super Jump used for screen capture.
Hellfire Storm- Timefreeze used. Stood across the room (room where Captian is being held in Truth and Reconciliation) and shot a half dozen clips of assault rifle ammo towards the door. To maintain the effect so I had ample time to get a screen capture I opened up the rcon console, which is that pink "halo_" that you see in the bottom left hand corner. This is one of my favorites.
Spearhead- Bottomless clip and Timefreeze used here. In this shot I stopped time to run up to an Elite. From there I emptied hudreds of rounds of Needler into his body and then let the game go for a couple of frames. The result was an Elite looking like he got owned harder than Steve Irwin.
Holy Grail- This is another one of my favorites. Timefreeze used. I hurt myself using a Fuel Rod shot, and while my shields were still flaring I quickly changed teams (while timefreeze was on) so I would have a glowing, standing corpse. From there I shot a large circle of Fuel Rod cells from the body and let them travel for about 4-5 frames. Afterwards I stood back and took the screen. This is the result.
And finally, this is my favorite screenshot of all time. No cheats were used. Just Plasma grenades and a -blam!--ton of explosives. Check it out.
Garage Door
For crying out loud it's a working Garage Door! "Press E to flip Scorpion" makes it fly up like that, and then you simply drive your vehicle out. It took forever to build it, but the results made it well worthwhile. I'm going to have to re-do this one with my new video card to get a higher quality image.
