I tried the locale adjustment but had no luck. But I did get the error to clear by doing the following:

Clear your Xbox 360 Hard drive cache. It's in System Settings>Memory>Press Y on the Hard drive.

This clears the Hard drive cache, including the system updates for your games.

I then loaded Halo Waypoint(I tried ODST but it didn't do an update), it did a system update, I swapped back to ODST, and the Intel tab worked fine. No more error code.

Hi.
had the same problem and I did two things.
First check if you can access the marketplace on Xbox dashboard.
If you can't then If you're sharing your PC's internet connection with your Xbox turn off your PC's Firewall.
Check If you have your language and location matched.
ex: Portuguese | Portugal

I get that on my xbox360 dashboard sometimes, it means some content from the xboxlive market place can't be loaded

I've tried everything.

I've set my xbox locale to USA and the language to English (I live in belgium, but there's no option for the Dutch language so)

I've wiped my hard drive cache, rebooted several times, still gives me the damn error code!

My live subscription is with a prepaid card and my gamer profile is stored on my memory unit.

Any ideas, I really want to be able to play the beta!

I fixed it too, not too happy though!

I set my locale to Belgium, but there is no Dutch language option, and English won't work. So I put it on French (since Belgium has both Dutch and French), but I barely speak any French. I find it quite the bs that I have to put my xbox in a language that I don't speak.

Glad I got it to work, will download the beta tomorrow and then change back to English.

For those who don't know, this problem was brought up in one of Bungie's posts. This is the error code that is preventing players from accessing the Pre-Beta videos from the intel section. Take note, this will not affect your ability to play the Beta. You will still be able to access it when May 3rd comes. Will edit with link when I find it.

Trying to see if anyone has been able to fix this yet?
I'm currently experiencing the same problem.

I was possibly thinking that the video is not on the UK marketplace? This worries me for the reach beta launch tomorrow.

Yeah i gues i am one of these people.... not sure why though am nothing special lol no bans or anything like that.....any one have any idea what the actual reason behind this is? i know they said its complicated but i would like to know what singles me out as special lol

I have an American gamer tag and moved to the UK. I change my console language to United Kingdom. And I got the error code. Changed back to the united states and now it works :D

Hey dude any links to the post you mentioned? I am still getting this message after following all advice posted above. I'm starting to get worried that I will not be able to access the beta later today. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dud, be sure you go to your memory and clear any incomplete downloads along with clearing you cache. Also, I live in Japan but am trying to use english as my language and it had to be changed inorder to clear up. So am in America for my system with english as my language. Still living in japan though.

well ive tried as many different ways as described and i still cant get it to download.
same error code 800700e8
have never moved from the uk, nor have i changed my language settings ever.
i have however upgraded my hard drive over time......could that have something to do with it.....like hidden system files not being copied over etc, i dont know really just guessing.

BUT BUNGIE IM GETTING WELL HACKED OFF.......seems like your promise to play reach on the 3rd for buying ODST is sounding more and more like a con.

any help would of course be appreciated

This is really starting to worry me as I have taken time off work to enjoy the beta and have a feeling this may stop me getting in. I have tried all weekend to get a code to get in early but no joy there either. I love halo to bits but it seems its all down to luck whether or not you get access. Someone help me please?!?!?!

I am a british solder serving in germany along with others we are recieving the message and are woried we will miss out on the BETA hopfully you could help with some information anything really would be good to know because the waiting is killing me thanks.

I had to go through all this s**t:
-Friday i got an RRoD
-Had to borrow an xbox from a friend
-The new xbox couldn't read my disk
-Shaked the xbox around, got an 800700e8 code
-Change my languege to French (live in Belgium,speak Dutch)
-And now I can't play the beta, i can only download the "welcome to reach beta" trailer AND NOT the actual beta

you can imagine how desperate i am for advice

Me too, I'm absolutely p****d off that they automatically assume you speak French when you live in Belgium.

Either make the native language English for us or localize the OS to Dutch!!! (Yes I know I should take this up with MS).
