Why is it after playing this game for years *not since 07-08 probably due to backwards compatibility issues* and my pre-odst profile on bungie.net showing i have halo 2 games now i don't have any history of playing the game at all no custom games no online games nothing and i only ever played the game online.
So my question is what gives, where did my play history go?

no one?

The best guess I can come up with is it maybe a system glitch. The other thing that comes to my mind is that maybe you played Halo 2 under a different GT than the one you have now? The final possibility is that maybe they were somehow purged from Bungie's system.

no my GT has always been the same since i joined, played on the same tag since i joined and i think it is BS if they purged it because i have no access to it now for the bonus for halo reach to users that have played since the beginging!

While I can't necessarily give you a surefire reasoning as to why your history appears to be nonexistent (mostly because the cause is most of the time due to gamertag modification), the fairly common fix for the problem is to play a game or two online. Thereafter, your records should reappear as they once were on the website, untouched and unharmed.

This bonus thing, are you talking about the free stuff that Microsoft is sending out to people? If so, it has nothing to do with Halo 2, its a random giveaway.

no i am talking about a special symbol or something along those lines for people who have a history of playing halo 2 and newer games for use in reach

The current requirement as you may know is to get the briefly mentioned commemorative "badge of honor" is to have at least one game played on record of Halo 2. It doesn't seem too probable that your game logs will return unless you find a way to play at least on game on Xbox LIVE. You are not going to need any administrative comments when the advice already posted in this topic will more than likely be efficient enough to at least solve your issue.

For whatever reason, it seems as though years of inactivity mixed with a few other possibilities (going to a silver account is also an addition those mentioned above) turns your statistics into an invisible state. My theory is that it's not only one factor that contributes to covert statistics on this website but rather a few issues that click together. If you're determined to be filled in, shooting an administrator a private message would in all likelihood get you an in-depth explanation on the origin of the problem. Not many of us here can give you anything but guesswork on the cause.
