Great update! This one had lots of info on the online multi-player, and hopefully we can get some stuff about campaign in the next update.
I have mixed feelings about the removals of visible ranks. I always liked them because they gave you a level to work for , but without them, rank trolling, cheaters, second-accounters, and booster won't be as rampant.
Edit: Never mind, they do have a new system in place, with "rank and cR designations)
Arena I won't judge until I play it, but it seems like a great mode for the online era, and it seems like a ongoing thing rather than a game that finishes after the match. I'm glad that it's in a separate playlist though.
The expanded matchmaking settings sounded great. I never really used the settings in Halo 3, because they just had connection options and language. There was something similar in Crackdown, with preferences on player types, and it would be great to get more cooperative players when playing bigger gametypes. It won't be perfect, but it will help.
Voting also sounds good, but in many games, players would not even bother voting, so I'm hoping there is still a default first choice for people who don't vote.
Custom Content Limit Removed! In Halo 3, this was one of the biggest annoyances when forging, saving clips, or having gametypes. Now we can not have our creativity stifled by this limit unless we fill up our hard drive.
Active Roster sounds like the Halo 2 system, and I wonder how they got this one past Microsoft, but it's great. Queue Join is one of the best features that has ever been introduced to the networking model, and I know from experience that it could have been useful in Halo 2 and 3, and it will definitely continue to be useful in Reach
The menus look great, though I'm not a big fan of that background quite yet, but that's not really a big deal, and anyways, Urk said there is still polishing left to do.
