I am fairly sure that this has been touched on before, but after looking through the first 3 pages (with a load of off-topic, locked threads, I add) I found nothing. Now, when I am looking through my PM inbox, and I want to look at some that are on page 2, I click the "next" button, I am taken back to my profile homepage, and when I go back to my inbox, I am on page 2.

It's not a serious problem, just a little nit-pick.

Yeah, I hate it when it does this. The only way I can get it to work is by clicking on a message first, then navigating myself through.

It just seems like a bit more hassle. Yes, I am idle.

I suppose it's worth a touch-up by Achronos. On the subject of the inbox, it would also be nice to have a tickbox to select a whole page for deletion.

  • 08.01.2005 4:11 PM PDT

Well, there's "Clear All", but that doesn't help you if you only want to delete one page of a multipage inbox. Of course, I usually just delete the PMs after I read them, so I don't have much to worry about.

We live in a lazy age my friend; I leave my PMs to gather ridiculous quantaties of virtual dust. But I suppose for some people, they may have to keep their PMs for future reference and when they need to dispose of them, a page delete box might be desirable.

Try having 78 pages of messages and having to find something, I kind’a wish we had an auto quote.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Hmm I like all three ideas, and and actually the next page thing can be quite inconveniant. I also like Psyched's idea, simply because it's so user friendly :) and also, Yoozel's. I remember that thread you posted about it and i'm still 100% behind you on that one (I've even kept my word and now quote every PM i get)

For me I have to bring up a message from page 1 before I can get to page 2, 3...

If I don't bring up a message first I can't get to those next pages. After I bring up 1 message I can navigate to whatever page I need.

He doesn't have his own fanbase though.

Like you said, I really don't think that this issue is incredibly important, but it is something Achronos should look into if he gets the chance. Personally, right now I'd rather have him working on the search feature instead of things such as this, but that's just me.

Is there a limit on the number of pm's you can have in your inbox because i haven't deleted any. I like to keep them just in case i need a referance to what was said before i have over 100 and i dont intend on deleting them. I would even like to be able to save copies of sent pm's on bungie.net.

There's a limit though I doubt that any one of us will ever reach it.

I once completely broke down the idea of having the option to delete all messages when stosh asked for it. Serious, Who else but stosh and sketch would get so much PM's?
Well, ofcourse stosh came with this idea when we only had 3 forums and stosh was the only moderator.

Now, i can see friggin point. I always need another 20 minutes just to delete all the damn messages. I take everything back that i than said to stosh.
