The edit gametype options in Halo were fine, but they were a bit lacking sometimes.
I would love to see:

"Custom Weapon sets": Pick your own weapons that will appear in the level
"Custom Vehicle sets": Just like Halo Pc! Great stuff! I want warthogs and ATV's only! :)
"Power Ups on or off": Small matches quickly turn into power up camping and hoarding, please give us the option to turn them off entirely, or let us be able to select wich ones we want.

Thanks guys, hope the right people see this....are there any more options you'd like to see?

I agree those are good ideas.

Thank you.

These forums are great, I had to find a new forum to talk to intelligent people.

Another option:

Custom Grenade sets: Like plasma but hate frags? Choose what grenades you'd like in the game independently from your main weapon set. ( I perfer both grenade types, but just human weapons ).

I definately agree. Customizing weapons and stuff would be awesome.

I don't know how they would be able to do this, but it would be really cool if you could place certain weapons in certain areas on the map only...

Its not a hard thing, several other shooters do this way before Halo. Perfect Dark is a great example where you could place weapons in a "6 slotted" custom weapon set.
The weapon at the top gets placed more frequently on the map.

For example: You like shotguns, rockets and Needlers. You want shot guns to appear the most on the map, rockets less and only one or two needlers.
Slot1: Shotguns
Slot 4: Rockets
Slot 6: Needlers

Then you play around till you are happy with the amount/placement of weapons on the map, its great!

boo i hate lots of games with edit weapons its best if bungie decides whats best for the levels the edit weapons can allow to much ability for the 1st player to setup weapons so nobody else knows where they are or they half to figure it out then the 1st player goes and grabs the sniper and snipers everyone while they figure out where the sniper got his rifel and where they're shooting from

great idea vehicle edit and power ups though

Agreed, but Bungie can give us more weapon sets. Halo Xbox didn't have an "All Alien" weapon set, they did have a "Plasma Weapon set" but they skipped the needler out of it...odd.

You also couldn't choose an "Assault Rifle only" set, since the "Rifle" set gave you both the AR and Alien Rifle ( which I am not a big fan of ). The more options the better I say!

Ok, slots might be a bit much. But I bet Bungie would make it work great! :)

Friendly fire on/off like Halo PC would also be great!

friendly fire? That ruins the realism. Anyway what happens if you get run over? Nothing changes.
I liek the idea of using an enemy as a human shield from explosives.

Well, its an option, you can choose not to have it on in your games, but it certainly would be a team killing antimeasure Bungie could consider.

A better anti TK option would be that if you team kill, when you die you get the respawn penalty, not the guy you just killed.

Very true, maybe they should have the "voting" ban system, instead of the silly "autoban" feature of Halo Pc.

Team Killing is a very serious problem in online games and it crippled HaloPC before they released a patch that "kinda" fixed it.

Choosing the extent for these measures would also make a good multiplayer option.

Team killing shouldn't be a problem on Xbox Live. You can usually vote people off the server on Live, plus you can leave negative feedback and get them suspended. Overall, Live does a pretty good job of discouraging griefers, though they will still be around to some extent no matter what.

Then I certainly hope people wont "quit" when they are about to loose a match, I have seen this a lot and it angers me to no end.
