Is there a way to further configure joysticks (xbox 360 wireless in my case) to adjust dead zones and threshold? Basically I'm trying to get rid of the slipperyness and make it more solid like it is on the consoles (atleast for halo 2 and 3).

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

You need a controller profiler like Xpadder or Pinnacle. There is no aim assist in Halo 1 PC, so it'll take some getting used to.

Well there must be some config somewhere that is telling the game how to act with the joystick, I guess it's likely buried in a .dll...

The auto aim doesn't really have anything to do with it, and I'm glad it's not there (i wish it could still be turned off in H3) but I will look into those trainers. Thanks.

Oh and could I get a link on Pinnacle? Google didn't narrow it down much, pinnacle is a common word in marketing I guess.-- never mind I got it... I need some freeware though...

I'll PM you a link to the freeware version of Xpadder. Later versions are under a different license.
