Subject: Halo CE very dark on screen

Hi, I finally got my brother to slap in Halo CE after telling him for years how good it was. He has played Halo 3 any barely and Halo 2.

He doesn't like the view of the game, he is more of a Gears style game person.

Anyway I was like look play the 3 all in a row and then when Halo Reach comes out you will be up to speed in a backward sort of way.

So the point of this post is that when he was playing the game was darker than I remember.

I turned up the brightness on my TV and tried everything, yet there were times in the second level that it was impossible to see, like by the light bridge and even at times outside.

I tried to unplug my HDMI and all that stuff.

Anyone else have this problem on their 360. I thought it had one of those in game brightness settings but I didn't see one.

Try the nifty little flashlight on your gun. ^_^

HAHAHA the flashlight. He had it on.

I doubt it is a disc problem or the flashlight.

I will see if I can fix it tomorrow but thanks.

Just watching that Halo Legends.

OMG that is really good. The styling is fantastic and it really is cool.

It shows the Forerunners and how they repopulated the galaxy.

You know like the actual events and not just people posting about it.

I have to say I was happy to buy it. The Origins 1 & 2 were great as well as seeing how the Arbiter came about.

The original Arbiter was SUPER BAD. He wiped a whole battlefield and then a Hunter at the end. He looked really tiny on the Hunter.

It must be something with your TV.

I think there is a screen brightness adjuster in settings? I'm not sure.

I couldn't find any setting in the options. It is probably there and I missed it.

It is not the TV because no other game is dark like that. I checked everything imaginable.

I unplugged it from the Onkyo and plugged the HDMI directly.

I adjusted everything even though all other games are fine.

I looked at and wiped disc and it is perfect with not one mark.

It is totally crazy that it is so dark. It really is a pain to see. Trust me the 2nd level in the tunnel was impossible to see the walls and in the Covenant ship it was stupid dark at times.

Sometimes the frames were lit right and then dark.

Again no other game has this issue ever. We played Gears of War 2 many times before and since and I threw in maybe 5 other games and no problems.

If it is the disk then it is not a visible issue. Sucks because I was gonna make a run through as well. I never did Legendary and probably never will try.

I never did Halo 2 either. The combo thing is too annoying for me. I did however do Halo 3 and ODST on Legendary Solo. Probably easier than 1 and 2 but still some parts were tough.

Oh well I am probably the only one who has this issue.

Thanks though
