Ok, so here's some stuff to clear up the Rookie:

We all know that the Rookies service number has JD at the end.

There are two posibilities:

1. John Doe. Commonly used when a persons identity is not known or does not want to be disclosed.

2. James D. On the last level, Coastal Highway, at one point you can hear Buck say, "Keep her steady James." I'm not sure if any skulls or difficulty needs to be on but he says it, and it's also on the Rookies page on Halopedia.

Secret Girlfriend?

On the first mission, Prepare to Drop, set the difficulty to legendary and watch through the cinematic. Once you drop and the lights turn on, look to the top left corner and a picture of a girl will be taped there. It will disapear after you pass through the cloud.

Clearing up the Tarkov/Rookie myth.

As was in an older thread, it was guessed that the Rookie was Tarkov from the We Are ODST film. This can be discredited in many ways.

1. The Rookie doesn't talk, and the thread said that Tarkov doesn't either, although he can be seen rattling on about something in Hungarian after they crawl through the mud.

2. The thread stated that he might not speak because he doesn't speak english, only hungarian. Well how would he understand all the orders and street signs?

3. Tarkov had orange armor detail, the Rookie has white.

This is just some insight on the Rookie. Post any other findings here.
