I was like WTH, then I saw how they popped each other and just sat there and would melee while they jumped, run, turn around and repeat the previous till they were all dead. It was the combat forms that freaked me out. I was ahhhhhhhhh the first time a combat form jumped at me. Keep in mind I was 5 and playing with my older brother who was 11.

My many wise and noble words:
1. Don't ever post anything about someones grammar, nobody cares.
2. WHEELMAN 4 LIFE
3. Splatters make you feel happy

I remember my reaction perfectly, it was around midnight and i was 10 or something like that, after watching the video on the marines helmet i was scared -blam!--less and i just stood in the middle of the room for 10 minutes before i got the courage to go kill some mother -blam!-s

I thought they were zombies. I was a little freaked out.
And then I spent about two hours trying to find my way out of the level. I memorized it now, though. ;D

it took me like 3 hours but yes, I now have it memorized.

After watching Jenkins Helmet Camera I thought... -blam!-! THEIR EVERYWHERE!

Combat Forms are scary as hell, i call them daddy's, I think Plasma Grenade was my first kill...

Carrier Forms Look Hilarious, I first killed one withe melee... BIG mistake

Infection Forms are tiny, I remember thinking, are these things dangerous?

i acted like jenkins for a while

and i used to call carrier forumns potato heads (what was i thinking?) when i was 6

there fun too kill though and there a good part of the story

I was scared at first but as the wave of emotion of the Flood attack washed over me something inside turned cold and although I had been effectively killing Covenent for a long time, a new steel was forged within me...I knew that to get out alive I had to kill every last one of these S.O.B's. I did it, stole the index from the library and blew up the ring world known as Halo, but I knew this wasn't the end...it was only just beginning.

couldnt have said it better *single tear rolls down cheek*

Levels of Intelligence(from highest to lowest)
Spartans>Elites>Grif>Brutes>Jackals>Grunts> Kat driving

*Sees cutscene*
"Blam. Don't make me fight that s***"

*Looks at radar, which was COVERED in red*
"Aw, s***!"

*During the time in that room (Which was less than five minutes, felt like 5 years)*
"S***S***S*** BLAMMING S***! SON OF A B****! DAMN IT, GET BACK! I SAID BACK YOU PARASATIC ABORTIONS! BLAM!"

*After another 10 minutes of this, the level ends*
"I never want to see another one of those things ever again."

*"The Library" begins*
"WHAT THE BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"
*breaks controller in half (Although I must say, those controllers were freaking sturdy!)*

Yes I'm a gamer, Yes I play pokemon, Yes I love Fallout, Yes I'm a competitive Swimmer, Yes I'm a artist, Yes I Ski, And of course yes I love Halo.

The chilling video of that marine team investigating that relic was creepy. Then those little squids came out and I was like "Oh #$%&" And then I have to battle through a maze filled with those scary things. I get out feeling so free and comfy with my team mates. Then I'm teleported to the Library.....you know whats next.

I was around 8 or 7 at the time I got Halo: Combat Evolved, so once I got up to the level 343 Guilty Spark, I continued along through the swamp, being a tad spooked by the large and open, but foggy area around me, but once I jumped up onto the fallen tree that allowed for a way to the inner facility and saw the yellow dots on my radar, but looking directly at their outlines in the distance and knowing that something wasn't right, I continued onwards and originally thought that there were some stray marines fighting the remains of the covenant when I started to hear gunfire from assault rifles... I was wrong.

Once I reached the place where The Flood were ready to pounce on me, I watched the beginning scene and felt intrigued to be fighting a new enemy after the scene had finished, but after a lot of green blood had been poured over the entire room, I recall being quite surprised by the fact that flood-infected elites were jumping at me, but I persisted nevertheless.

As I continued to fight The Flood in the underground facility, fear started to creep up on me as the dark rooms ahead and unnerving ambience eventually got the better of me, so once I couldn't go any further, I went back to a sunny and moderately happy level of the game for a while until I gained the courage to take on The Flood again.

Determined to finish what I started, I loaded the level 343 Guilty Spark and battled my way back to where the introduction to The Flood was, and once it was time to take on the scary hallways with Flood jumping out at you or suddenly attacking you from behind, I started to call them ugly and hideous freaks that were very weak, and just blatently insulting them in order to make myself feel less scared, and it worked.

Once I reached The Library, I originally thought it was going to be just like the last level, but I was quite mistaken because of the fact that The Library was a much more illuminated and open level than the previous one, and that made The Flood seem less scary to me, but I do admit that once I completed The Library and began fighting covenant again, I felt relieved and proud to have achieved victory over the horrors of the level 343 Guilty Spark.

So there you go, that's my experience with The Flood on Halo: Combat Evolved.
