Show Faith/Defy Fate

Sure it pales in comparison to H3 but look at what we got. We have a story set in the halo universe, we have night missions, (something H3 didn't have), a new cast of characters, an epic soundtrack that puts H3's to shame, and a firefight which is fun with a team or solo. When you say a game is "bad" i tend to think of games like Ico or Cod (jk about cod). Was it worth $60? Eh, maybe not but im sure other people have bought way worse for $60. So stop complaining and wait for the Beta. but end the end, i guess it boils down to your own opinion so...

Ahh..That was a super cool story, bro. ODST was a good game, but it seemed more like the CoD:WaW of the Halo series. It lacked what Halo fans truly want. A good multiplayer. That is why it has so little activity compared to Halo 3.

ODST was planned by Bungie to be an Add-On Campaign which you downloaded and accessed through you're Halo 3 disc. This is why ODST uses the Halo 3 engine. M$ (Microsoft) decided they could make more money by marketing it as a full game. A Campaign alone wasn't enough for a game, so they created Firefight and Disc 2. All they did was cause the fans to get frustrated, expecting a full sequel. I thought it was a great game. I enjoyed the campaign, the Soundtrack was amazing it fully deserves it's Game of the Year award for that

Oh, bum- diddly!

It has exactly the same multiplayer as Halo 3, except with all of the expansions built-in. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I don't play either any more, Halo 3 was a 10x better though.

Halocharts profile

Mythic Conquer # 23 baby
I've beaten ODST and Halo 3 on Mythic.

ODST's soundtract to me was nowhere near as good as Halo 3's. The story for Halo 3 ODST was pitiful, a 10th grader could of come up with something better. None of the ODST's were very like able. The Dialogue was pitiful. The city was too dark or too bright in spots, which was unbelievably annoying. The game was super short. The stealth aspect of the game is crap, I don't even know why they even used the word stealth. The game is so easy, I don't see why people think there's a big leap from playing as the chief.

All of this is my opinion

The good

Firefight
Sky Art
Opening Cinematic
Closing Cinematic
Walking on the high rise bridge
Blowing up Oni Alpha Site
Blowing up the Bridge, although could have been 3x better.
Space Elevator collapsing

Everyone has their own opinion on the game. Some thought it was good while others didn't.

It was an expansion that's why it was like 4 hrs to finish in Campign.

For £40, ($60), it was very average but not bad.

Maybe, but don't post here more if there's one of the conditions below.

For us (Yes, all here) is good a single thing.

Play Halo for Some Reason Please, if you don't have reasons to play ir or to Be in this Universe, Don't bother with the "more than fans", and find something better than Halo, maybe as entertainment or else, or something really important for you.

Hope it helped

PS: I'm not fan of Halo, But i Like it's universe.

I have ODST and the 360 by only 7 Dollars (in This Country's money, I have no payd 60$).

And I have not find what's wrong with ODST.

The Only thing i really Disliked is that the Achievement Campaign Complete: Legendary Didn't unlocked when co-op by some reason.

I felt that Bungie did not loved ODST like the Other Halo Games, but maybe because they needed money for Reach and the game were only Business and Negotiations =(.

Political Alignment: Social Democracy (Left)

Favourite Film: The Dark Knight
Favourite Game: Mass Effect 2
Preferred Weapon: Franchi SPAS-12

I thought the only really big flaw was the fact it took waaay too many shots with a sniper to kill a brute and way to many beatdowns too. And that the SMG was nearly useless and that stealth didn't work because I don't know but the AI have a sixth sense for spotting people directly behind them.

Apart from that it was alright.

Floodgate was sort of at night I think. But I loved ODST but no one to play with.:(

Are you insinuating that I'm not a fan of Halo? You've made my day.

Speak for yourself. I truly want a decent story and campaign. I didn't buy Halo for it's multiplayer. I bought it for it's story.

And God said "Let there be light." But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

I thought it was a very good game after a full campaign run through with some freinds.

Source that it was meant to be a DLC at first?

I don't know if it was supposed to be DLC, but it was originally supposed to be an expansion. However, it's much more than a simple expansion, evidently.

Keepin' my ammo dry and my eyes on the target.

You know what dude I agree with you I like ODST, could they have done a better job? Yes. ut I still like the campeign better than Halo3's. Good points dude.

  • 04.03.2010 5:44 AM PDT

I thought the campaign was the 2nd best of The Halo games. I had the most fun playing it (besides Halo: CE), even though it was the easiest to beat solo on legendary.

As far as the soundtrack being better than Halo 3.. I completely disagree. Though it was original and very good in its own form, it didn't have the same level of emotion that Halo 3 had.

Halo Reach PC über alles!

Pros:
.Firefight
.Mediocre Soundtrack
.The fact that it comes with the beta to Halo Reach (will expire)

Cons:
.Hardly relevant to the Halo storyline (ZOMGZ SPOILAR WE LEARNED IN HALO 3!!!!1)
.Annoying/2-D Characters
.No online in FireFight
.Rebranded H3 multiplayer
.No improvement in graphics
.Rebranded Weapons being called new
.Pointless "Virgle" side-plot
.Horrible Lighting

That explains everything.

Overall Score:
2/10

Procrastination makes perfect.

I actually preferred the ODST campaign compared to H3's. Alright, so the two-scarab battle on the covenant was cool, but the ODST campaign seemed, I dunno, more fleshed out. The Cheif is the ultimate action hero, but he doesnt really have a personality. The Rookie is much the same, pushed into the shadows by the characters around him. Anyway, im rambling.

Main point: ODST campaign great
