Why is FF so LAGGY???? We all play together all the time. Like ALL the time. We never lag on matchmaking. Then more times than not, FF starts and we start moving like we're tarred to the floor. WHY??????? It's not a connection issue.

It made me quit playing and even trying for endure. We've made it to the end 4 different times and out of those 4, 3 of them we're from lag. I mean, lag isn't even the right word.

"Frozen frame for 3 seconds before you can move 2 steps only to have freeze up again, then unfreeze you in a completely different place than you just were in" needs a word invented for it. I know this topic has probably been done to death but seriously. I put it down for months, then picke it up again a couple days ago and sure enough......

It's the networking model.
In multiplayer (Matchmaking) it uses a P2P model whereis a Coop Campaign (Or firfight) uses something like CoH.

Basically, P2P models allow sperate events happen on each others xboxes (I.e, if you shoot a person in Halo3 with a bit of lag, you'll more likely miss and it won't count)

The CoH model basically thinks like this: "at the wall near the box, someone just shot, and now they are turning around and running towards x player", then it has to send this information to everyone in the game so they can see the exact same thing at the same time, and when another xbox recieves this, they too have to send it to the other players, so it's all synched.
So if you shoot someone, no matter the lag, it'll hit.

Basically it's your connection which can't handle sending the data to everyone all the time.

READ FIRST PLEASE! Please stop sending me Group invitations, it's not that I don't appreciate it it's just not going to work out for me considering the variables, Time zone differences, Mentality, motivation etc, Thank you for your consideration, Rtma Eros Paragon out.

It's called Synchronizing, ODST uses the same technique as Halo 3's Co-op or very Similar, I don't know exactly if it's one or the other, I didn't code it.
